Obama’s old seat: “Probable cause” Rep. Jackson knew of or directed pay for play efforts

Via USA Today:

House investigators found “probable cause” that Rep. Jesse Jackson either knew of efforts or directed someone to raise campaign money for then-Gov. Rod Blagojevich in return for Jackson’s appointment to the U.S. Senate.

With the release of that report, the House ethics committee said today it will continue its investigation into Jackson, a nine-term lawmaker once considered a natural fit for the Senate seat vacated by Barack Obama when he won the presidency.

Jackson, of course, denies any wrongdoing and claims he will be vindicated. Natch.

  1. He has absolutely nothing to worry about. He’s already been found innocent as a newborn lamb in the court of media opinion.

    It’s amazing how Democraps can find the miniscule speck in any Repub’s background but are absolutely blind to the herd of dancing elephants in their room…
