#WIrecall: The Wisconsin state election graphic that says it all (UPDATED)

Bask in the afterglow, people, BASK (via @ErickaAndersen):

WI recall election results

WI recall election results - graphic slightly modified by ST to intensify the red. : )

The graphic was taken from the Huffington Post Election results page, which you can view here

On the more comedic end of things, watch this CNN interview from last night with a Tom Barrett supporter who was in tears, claiming, “democracy died tonight.”

Is it ok to gloat a little (ok – a lot) the day after a hard fought victory? For the politicos involved, not so much (btw, one Senate seat is still being determined, and the Democrat is now barely leading in that recall effort), but for pro-freedom, pro-smaller government types who have been under siege – in some cases literally – by left wing union thugs who were bound and determined to stay on that taxpayer-funded gravy train, YOU BETCHA.

Enjoy the day, peeps. Enjoy it.

Update – 11:00 AM: On the not-so-sunny side of things comes this:

MILWAUKEE — The Milwaukee Police Department says it’s evaluating threats made against Gov. Scott Walker through social media.

An email from police department spokeswoman Anne Schwartz says all threats are handled seriously and can be a criminal act. It says people cannot assume anonymity via social media while issuing a threat to another’s safety or life. Schwartz declined to elaborate.

Authorities say the Wisconsin Department of Justice’s Division of Criminal Investigation is also looking into the threats. […]

Surprise, surprise.

  1. Scott McCray says:

I am enjoying it – as I mentioned over at my blog, it’s wonderful that this particular government teat will remain dried up… :d

  2. Great White Rat says:

    “democracy died tonight”

No….but here I’ll steal a phrase the leftists are so fond of using at their OWS gatherings:

“This is what democracy looks like.”

Thank you, Wisconsin voters! May the rest of the nation follow where you have led.

  3. Phineas says:

(btw, one Senate seat is still being determined, and the Democrat is now barely leading in that recall effort)

Even if the Democrat wins, it’s meaningless. The legislature is out of session until 2013, and there is no way Walker is calling it into session unless there is some sort of emergency. So, enjoy the seat, Ds! Thanks to redistricting, we’re likely to get it back in November. :)

(And for all the millions you spent, this is all you accomplished? Well done, keep it up. >:) )

  4. TexasMom2012 says:

Heh heh heh. Very happy to see all the union dollars blown for nothing. And with their membership dropping like a stone, they will not be able to replace those funds in time to help in November… You have to love the absolute futility on display. Hip Hip for Walker and Wisconsin!

  5. Tex says:

As predicted, the MSM is now trying to shove this resounding defeat of the Democratic Party on the back pages of their so-called “news” outlets. Of course, less than 24 hours ago, when they were sure they would be victorious, it was the ONLY news on their outlets.

The few that are talking about it are trying to convince the readers, and themselves I think, that last night’s recall vote doesn’t mean an thing about November. Well, we’ll see about that.

  6. Gravelagitator says:

Seeing these snivling, quiver lipped girly boys crying on the tv gladdens this old troopers’ heart like nothing has in three and a half years!

  7. BR says:

For some real entertainment, skim down this:

Warning – extensive and continuous profanity.

  8. Carlos says:

It’s always nice to see the non-violent, peace-loving response of the gentle left when they don’t get their way.

I would hope the state cops track down every single one of the threats against Walker and the others, and “makes examples” of them all. It’s about time they started paying a price for their inappropriate and disgusting hissy fits.
