Poll: Sec. of State Kerry has higher approval ratings than Pres. Obama

Via Politico:

Secretary of State John Kerry is enjoying strong approval ratings, according to a new poll on Monday.

Sixty percent of Americans approve of the job he’s doing, while just 31 percent disapprove, the GallupΒ pollΒ found.

Kerry’s numbers top both President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden. Just over half of Americans, 51 percent, approve of the way Biden is handling his job, with 39 percent disapproving. Only 45 percent approved of Obama’s handling of his job, with 51 percent disapproving.

β€œKerry has been secretary of state since February, maintaining an active presence on the international stage almost from the start,” Gallup said. β€œIn addition to his high profile in the Syria matter, he has been involved in trying to restart Israeli-Palestinian peace talks, and asking China for assistance with North Korea.”

If Kerry’s approval ratings hover at or near this number for the next several months, think maybe we’ll see him throw his hat into the ring for President in addition to former SOS Clinton and VP Biden? Β That trio of previously failed candidates for President would make quite the picture, no? The media frenzy would be almost unparalleledΒ to any other Presidential primary campaign in modern history… almost.
