#Election2016: Is Hillary Clinton throwing Joe Biden under the bus already?

Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden

A preview of a potential 2016 primary face-off between the two?

Interesting:

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Tuesday took some indirect swipes at Vice President Joe Biden at an off-the-record gathering, a state representative in attendance told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

“I know she’s running for president now, because toward the end, she was asked about the Osama bin Laden raid. She took 25 minutes to answer,” George State Rep. Tom Taylor told the newspaper. “Without turning the knife too deeply, she put it to [Vice President Joe] Biden.”

Clinton, a top potential 2016 contender, addressed the National Association of Convenience Stores in Atlanta on Tuesday, where “social media, photography, recording, writing about and/or videotaping” was prohibited, according to guidance released a day earlier.

But Taylor told the newspaper that while answering the question about bin Laden, Clinton depicted herself and former CIA Director Leon Panetta as champions of the raid, while also noting Biden’s opposition to the action. Biden is also a potential 2016 hopeful.

“She took the rest of the time and went over, answering that question,” Taylor, a Republican, said. “She was ready to speak on that.”

Clinton struck a similar theme at another recent speech before the Long Island Association, according to an attendee.

She was asked about bin Laden at that event as well, and in her telling, the attendee said, “She and the CIA director were for the attack, and Biden and the secretary of defense were against the attack.

So we don’t have any direct quotes here but this is intriguing, if true.  This sounds exactly like something she would do, doesn’t it?  I almost feel sorry for Joe. Almost.

By the way, speaking of Hillary Clinton and 2016, had my first sighting of an “I’m ready for Hillary” bumper sticker earlier today. Bleh …

….Harry Reid figures to continue being “impeachment insurance” – not only for the remainder of Barry’s 2nd term, but also for President Hillary (should it come to that).

As for Hillary “WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE?” Clinton, my suspicion is that, should she prevail and actually win the 2016 contest, she will reign over little more than rubble.

  2. ALman says:

Many of the same people who brought us wonder-boy are ready and willing to bring us wonder-girl. After all, aren’t they entitled? Isn’t she? So, who’s to bemoan the fact that buffoon-boy has tread marks on his back?

No doubt, from hereon, she’ll be developing and elaborating upon a crafty narrative. Meanwhile, well, unless something dramatic unfolds, we know the other side of the story. That is, we’ve witnessed it the last two presidential elections. I’m deeply disappointed in Ryan. Rubio is MIA? Cruz: has he been damaged by his shutdown stance? Are you ready for Christie?

  3. Biden has stronger ammunition with the Benghazi raid. Plus, the commiecrats have shot themselves in the foot enough times over the course of this criminally corrupt administration for the GOP to have plenty of what football teams refer to as “bulletin board” material. That is, provided the GOP doesn’t neutralize their clear advantage by committing political harakiri.

The quote above about not turning the knife too much is, and will be quoted as, the line Nixon used when he said his political opponents “stuck a knife in me and twisted it with relish.” A la Special Agent Gibbs on NCIS, Drew’s political rule #1 is “do not whine about things you did to yourself.”

  4. Chris in NC says:

Hillary or Biden. No matter either will shred the republican. There are too many leaches and parasites that want everyone else’s money and since the democrats will give more free shit to them, they will win the election

  5. Tango, ALman, Drew & Chris:
You all raise extremely valid reasons as to the faults of Madame Mao.

And you all state reasons why she stand a decent chance of getting elected.
“Free Shit!” you can beat that, and you never will.

Ever read “All the King’s Men?” by robert Penn Warren. Athickie that was required reading in college( do they still have that?) It’s the story of Hughie Long, Governor of Louisianna in the 30′s & 40′s. When he first tries to run for country commissioner he present s facts and figures detailing his opponent (the incumbent)as a thief. No one is interested in what he has to say and he gets his butt whipped. Next go-round he takes on the incumbent again and rails about him being a theif and engages in a series of ad hominems and dirty tricks. This time he wins and his career is launched.

And that is what is needed and how to beat Hillary-play her hard at her own game. Otherwise, we’re screwed.
