Via CNN Money:

The gunmaker Mossberg has teamed with Duck Commander, the company owned by “Duck Dynasty’s” Robertson clan, to release nine different shotguns, as well as two semiautomatic rifles and a semiautomatic pistol.

Mossberg has begun shipping some of the shotguns to distributors, according to spokeswoman Linda Powell. She declined to name specific retailers that will carry them.

Mossberg says the Duck Commander guns will come in a “waterfowl pattern” camouflage design, though not all of them are intended for duck hunting. They also bear the Duck Commander logo, of a duck in flight.

The pistol and one of the rifles have military-style designs with large capacity magazines holding at least 25 rounds. The rifle has some of the features of an assault rifle, but with a relatively low .22 caliber.

Mossberg’s Web site says its .22-caliber pistol is “perfect for small game, plinking, target shooting — or clearing cottonmouths out of your duck blind.”

Mossberg’s Web site says the firearms will all come with an American flag bandana “like the one worn by Willie,” a character on the show.

They beat the countdown, ST. I went to Google to search for who might be a retailer and all that is listed is the many but predictable rants of the Left, the Puff Hos chief among them. Their First Amendment rights are on full display.

As an exercise of Second Amendment rights, anyone desiring one of those weapons can order online and have it sent prepaid to a FFL (Federal Firearm Licensee) who will then handle the required background check and transfer.

After the JFK assassination fifty years ago, there is no such thing as mail-order purchasing.

Drew, it was the Gun Control Act of 1968. Odd that it wasn’t passed after the JFK assassination, since Oswald purchased the mail-order rifle, but then they would have to say that it was Oswald who killed Kennedy…

Thanks, TomTB. I could not remember the legislation’s name, only that the JFK assassination was its impetus.

I have read the Warren Commission Report of 1964 cover to cover; the mail order forms and the handwriting analysis of them linking Oswald to the 6.5 Mannlicher-Carcano rifle used in the assassination and the .38 with which he killed Officer Tippitt were in the evidence section.
