I just noticed this evening that the ST blog has moved up in the blogworld a little – I’ve advanced inthe TTLB Ecosystem from an ‘Adorable Rodent’ to a ‘Marauding Marsupial .’ I realize that could change in the coming weeks, but I’m going to relish it for right now (7/25 Update: I’m back to an Adorable Little Rodent! I’ve got the same stats as I had from the night before … perhaps it was a techie booboo at TTLB? Dunno … anyway, it was nice while it lasted
I’d like to take a moment to say “thank you” to all who visit (and sometimes comment or email) here – both regulars and newbies – as well as those who’ve either linked with a trackback to a ST post or those who have me on your permanent blogroll. The fact that my opinions interest others means a great deal to me and furthermore makes me feel like I’m not ‘just another blogger in the crowded blogosphere.’ Ultimately, it’s about enjoying what you do and hoping that you can either help shape and/or influence someone’s opinion – or at the very least get people to see your side of things, even if they don’t agree. Obviously the more people you have reading your blog, the more opportunity there is at influencing them or at least getting them to see your point of view. I also enjoy the ‘media accountability’ aspect of the blogosphere – it goes without saying that the media is on their toes now more than ever thanks to the tenaciousness of bloggers who do the thorough research that our media should do but doesn’t always.
Anyway, thank you again for visiting, commenting, emailing, tracking back, and linking to ST. Knowing that there are people out there who are interested in what I have to say keeps me blogging
(Reminder: to those of you who are new to the ST blog, please make sure to read the welcome message)
