Victory for the Bush administration on telecom immunity

Captain Ed has the details of the Bush admnistration’s legislative win on telecom immunity yesterday.

The liberal ‘crats are steaming mad about it, of course, because if the FISA bill goes forward as planned for the Bush admin, that will mean that the telecoms won’t have to fear lawsuits as the result of having to cooperate with the feds on legal, legitimate requests for wiretaps/info in the name of national security.

Oh, and how did Hillary and Obama, who noted in a recent debate that they strongly opposed the bill, vote?

They weren’t “present.” They were both out campaigning.
