California: Jerry Brown lives down to expectations

It’s the last game of the season for the 2-13 Carolina Panthers, and they’ll play it in Atlanta, where the 12-3 Falcons will look to gain home field advantage in the playoffs with a win. It’ll probably be a fairly easy task for Atlanta, considering the Cats’ continued QB woes, and the fact that they’ll be without WR Steve Smith.
The LA Times has an interesting article today about incoming Governor Brown’s proposed budget – interesting mainly for what it hints at and leaves out, and secondarily for a bit of media bias. First, the proposal:

So, the mystery of the unidentified contrail see over Los Angeles three nights ago continues. Experts go back and forth over whether it was a missile (and its implications) or a jet mistaken for a missile due to the curvature of the Earth.
