From #proabortion to #prolife: My thoughts on #RoeAt40
First, I’d like to say that I hate that the anniversary of this decison, which gave women the ‘right’ to terminate their pregnancy(ies), is on my birthday.

The Daily Mail Online (UK) writes about a heartbreaking case of a woman faced with difficult choices in the latter stages of her pregnancy (via @GaltsGirl):
The Washington Examiner’s Charlie Spiering reports:
Considering the turn the public debate this week has taken with the attempted character assassination of Indiana GOP Senate candidate Richard Mourdock over deliberately misconstrued comments he made about rape, abortion, and God, one of my Twitter followers – @Phillybama1 – volunteered to share the story of his birth. He is the child of a rape survivor and, needless to say, he feels very blessed that his mother did not abort him. Here is his story:
Last night, the three candidates for Indiana Senate participated in a debate, and the last question asked was on abortion and where the candidates stood. All three candidates (Richard Mourdock – R, Joe Donnelly – D, Andrew Horning – L) are pro-life and said so in response to the question. Donnelly is Mourdock’s main opponent and they are locked in a tight race, if polling numbers are an accurate indication. Of course, a Republican having to contend with a Libertarian candidate on the ballot makes it even more uphill and it could ultimately be a factor in this race. But in the meantime, Mourdock’s chief concern is Donnelly, and with two weeks to go before election day, opportunistic, leftists seized on Mourdock’s answer and explanation to the abortion question.
