CIA prisons cover: how they blew it

Posted by: ST on December 8, 2005 at 9:26 am

Josh Gerstein has an interesting piece in the NY Sun today that discusses the CIA’s sloppy (perhaps deliberately so?) handling of its international prisons cover along with the leaks to the press from current and former CIA folks about the prisons and the planes which transport the prisoners .

It’s good to know that the leaks about the planes and prisons have been referred to the Justice Dept. for investigation, but what I’m still wondering is why those who have been howling with outrage over la affaire de Plame have not been screaming at the top of their lungs over this *very real* harming of our national security interests.

You won’t see the same people screaming about this. These leaks hurt Bush and America. It proves how partisan, narrow minded, if not America Hating these people are, especially our Liberal friends tommy, Brian, steve,…

oh give me a break PCD. The CIA shouldn’t take them over to Europe in the first place. The CIA has agents all over the place in the middle east. They were not smart about how they conducted their operations, they’ll get it together.

The leaks seem to show up when Plame gets mad. Did everybody miss the other leaks when she went to the news?

    More leaks to protect Plame.

DOJ and Pentagon are now required to report directly to the Director of CIA. Congress required this to protect Plame from indictment and followed up with the CIA prison leaks. Its obvious they are telling other countries to stop whining about CIA relations.

Congress has two agencies that report directly to them. One is CIA.

tommy, you mean the CIA agents aren’t PC in their interrogations and you condone leaking when it suits your purpose no matter how many covert operations and covert agents’ covers are blown so long as Bush and America are hurt by it?

No just they screwed up. That’s all.
