UC Santa Cruz: violently anti-military

Posted by: Sister Toldjah on April 12, 2006 at 10:26 am

I can’t even put into words how sick this makes me. Michelle Malkin has a lengthy link roundup and photos here and here that discuss this story:

Military recruiters packed up their displays and left a UC Santa Cruz job fair Tuesday after several protesters attempted to force themselves inside the fair while others blocked the entrance over the course of a tense hour-long standoff.

Citing safety concerns, the four recruiters from the Army and National Guard reversed an earlier decision to remain at the fair in a room separated from other job recruiters and protected by more than a dozen campus police.

Students Against War, or SAW, drew national attention following a similar protest against military recruiters last April when MSNBC reported that the Department of Defense surveillance program listed the group as a threat.

And those anti-war groups wonder WHY the DOD listed them as a threat???

Update: Meant to add UC Santa Cruz contact info when I first posted this, in case you want to give them your thoughts on what happened:

Notice the thugs with masks across their faces in some of the photos? I saw a few at the “Walk for Life” this past January in San Francisco.

That hooded look reminds me of the KKK.

    2. Baklava says:

Their intolerance leads them to do dangerous things. Just like the KKK. Their breed of intolerance has them at war with the military and their tactics are putting lives in danger. Greenpeace does the same thing. They have their little boats getting too close to the big Navy ships and to save lives the Navy has to move them with a water stream blast because they can’t listen to reasonable requests on the loudspeaker.

So it’s not only their intolerance but it’s their failure to respect authority and protocol and the laws. And their mindset I believe is caused by an illogic and reading comprehension problem. I don’t know how else to say it. Their illogic and inability to comprehend is what makes them unable to understand economic arguments as well. They will be told 50 times how taxes affect an economy when you raise taxes and they will deny that as truth.

The good news is that these tactics turn people off to Democrats because these tactics are unreasonable. I say to SAW, “keep it up !!!

    3. Baklava says:

Hey Dan. I didn’t even see your post until after I wrote. And we both referred to the anti-tolerant left as the KKK.

    4. Karl says:

maybe the feds should pull funding for a year. Let’s see how much they like it.

    5. Baklava says:

More information about liberals and their anti-social intolerant behavior. There are even references to who you should marry if you want to be happy !!! :o

    6. Dan says:

      Baklava-
I’ve noticed the “hooded KKK” look many times here in the Bay Area with some the anarchist types, palestinian protestors, and others. I wish the local papers would run side-by-side photos comparing these intolerant thugs next to klansmen.

    7. Karl says:

Call them the LLL the Looney Liberal Leftists….

      :)

    8. Baklava says:

That doesn’t fit with the local media agenda. I once was at a protest after the November 2000 elections protesting Gore’s counting in specific counties over and over (the Democrat controlled counties) and past the certification date. At that rally/protest the State Capitol was FILLED with thousands of people and the Sacramento Bee (the large Sacramento newspaper) LIED and said only hundreds were there. We did this for 3 weeks straight and on subsequent weeks we had signs about the Sacramento Bee can’t be trusted to report the news.
