Via FoxNews:

Attorney General Alberto Gonzales and John F. Clark, director of the United States Marshals Service, will detail the results of Operation Falcon II, a seven-day nationwide fugitive roundup, during a press conference in Washington at 1:15 p.m. EDT. Among those arrested during Operation Falcon II were 1,102 violent sexual offenders. The operation was conducted from April 17 through April 23.

The “priority targets” arrested were fugitives wanted for committing sexual offenses and crimes of violence against women, children and the elderly, as well as unregistered convicted sex offenders, according to Justice Department officials.

Others arrested in Operation Falcon II were fugitive gang members and violent offenders wanted for homicide, kidnapping, robbery, burglary, carjacking, weapons offenses, and narcotics sales.

Bravo. Score one for the good guys.

Gee, wonder if they’ll immediately turn around and let most of them go like they did with the illegal immigrants they just rounded up. Equal protection my heinie…

    2. OT – A police guard has been shot at Cleveland Hopkins airport this morning, according to reports on FOX. Details are being gathered. The early information said a man at the United Airlines ticket counter started shouting and threatening other passengers waiting in line with a gun, and when the officer approached him he turned the weapon on him and wounded him. The suspect is in custody according to officials on the scene, and an investigation is under way…..

Sev I was thinking the same thing.

How many of these were illegals?
How many will end up right back on the street?

I have the cure for what ails them. It’s permanent and we don’t have to feed them forever or wonder one second, when will the problem recycle itself.

    5. - Plus it would be a great use of idle rats in the sewers of large metropolitan cities.

Let’s see, 9037 X 52 = 469,924. 12,000,000/469,924 = 25.54 years. See, President Bush? It is possible! It takes awhile, but it can be done.

    7. - Yes Bachbone…. But not if all the while you play a game of see no immigrant, hear no immigrant, catch no immigrant on our open borders, and 35 to 50 million more join the crowd here in the states.

      - The Administration is so damn scared of the bad press they’d get if they actually started enforcing border security, because the first thing that would happen is an armed pitched battle with Mexican Federalies along the Texas border, who aid and abet, both illegal aliens transits, and much much worse, a constant flow of drugs.

      - I’ve lived about 15 miles from the border for decades and the entire “border enforcement” thing has been a joke from the very beginning. They just don’t want to do anything. thats why the “Minute men”. People are just sick and tired of cleaning up their garbage cans spread all over their lawns, and rousting immigrants from behind their garages, not to mention the crime and danger to the locals. This is one of our biggest phoney government boondoogles, by BOTH parties, more interested in the Hispanic vote than enforcing the law.

    8. Pam says:

This was the best news of the day!

    9. forest hunter says:

      Pam, which news is that?

    10. Lorica says:

This is good news. Now if we can only keep them in prison. Iowa is dealing with a couple of these very evil men. I keep hoping Iowa will come to their senses and bring back the death penalty for sex offenders that kill. These two buried a 9 year old girl alive after these animals were done with her. I keep telling people there is a time when Dads in this country will be forced to take matters into their own hands. And who would blame them – Lorica

    11. tom says:

We better start building more prisons.

    12. Baklava says:

      Yep

    13. sanity says:

      Agreed.

Because it doesn’t or shouldn’t stop us from enforcing the law.

      [sarcasm]
Of course we could always send them overseas to the secret prisons over there….
      [/sarcasm]

      *chuckles*

    14. msdl5 says:

Word is another roundup in a few more weeks.

    15. sanity says:

What another 1200 rounded up to turn loose 1000 of those rounded up back on the street?

      Dog and Pony show…

      Slieght of hand….

Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain…

Until they get serious, this is nothing but pandering to the base…

    16. PCD says:

      Lorica,

Don’t look for Iowa to impose the death penalty on sex offenders. The Donkeycrats are all for coddling them. That is from Presidential Candidate, Governor Tom Vilsack on down as the Donkeycrats are actively seeking the pervert vote to go with the felons, the dead, and winos who vote multiple times for free booze.

    17. J Rob says:

SC is only one house away from having the death penalty for repeat sex offenders. It will, however, be interesting to see if it ever gets imposed…let alone upheld on appeal

    18. J Rob says:

Correction: repeat sex offenders whos victims were children under 13

    19. Pam says:

Forest Hunter- Among those arrested during Operation Falcon II were 1,102 violent sexual offenders. The operation was conducted from April 17 through April 23. Lets start there. And from there, I would say that anyday that law enforcement gets tough and gets results on sex offenders is a good day and good news!

    20. Lorica says:

PCD I competely expect a Republican back as governor of Iowa after this election. Iowans can’t blame Branstad forever. I don’t understand what happens to the Republican party when it comes to the Governships of Iowa and Illinois. Some of what Branstad did was inexcusable. What Ryan did was outright criminal, and it looks like he is going to spend his senior years in prison for his stupidity.

I think that these deaths of so many of our children at the hands of these animals will force the hands of even the Democrats. How many votes are they going to lose everytime a child dies?? They keep coddling these criminals and normal people are going to deal with the situation, if not legally, then taking the law into their own hands. – Lorica

    21. forest hunter says:

Thank you Pam. That’s good news indeed and bears repeating.

I just would like to add that the releases as mentioned in the previous posts, are more than a little disturbing. They go to all the effort of rounding up this growing plague of violent pukes and too many of those end up performing their sick habit again and again.

Prisons are too good for this type of criminal. The death penalty can’t be adopted for this disgusting crime soon enough.
