‘Canes game open thread (CANES WIN THE CUP!!)
Tonight’s the night. The winner walks away with the Stanley Cup.
For anyone who wants to partake, here’s an open thread for game 7 commentary. Saturday night’s game commentary was cool – just wish the game would have gone in the opposite direction

Well if you guys are happy, I’m tickled. Cograts to y’all for your unswerving faith in them. It didn’t swerve did it?
There were a few tense moments, forest, but we made it out alive thankfully
Yes, it was a real nailbiter…especially when Edmonton made it 2-1, but I’m glad the Cup is staying in the U.S.
Remember, tho, we’re just giving it to you on loan for 12 months…

I missed the first two periods, but thoroughly enjoyed the third (except for the ‘Canes giving up the goal.)
You are right about nobody caring about the ‘Canes in Charlottee. Don’t get me wrong, I like Charlotte but the Observer has the attitude that the world should revolve around Charlotte and the Queen City should have been the one to get the NHL franchise.
I think when they saw the silly name Charlotteans voted for their ECHL franchise they didn’t want to risk it.
Congratulations. Too bad my local rag had to use the condesending headline “Stanley Cup to Tobacco Road”.
Again, the Liberals that edit this paper start in with their unadmitted prejudices and can’t recognize it.
