I’m one of the world’s worst at predicting the outcome of elections, but I’m going to take a stab at it with a few of them this morning.
Lamont seems to have lost momentum in CT and isn’t polling well – I feel pretty confident in predicting that Joe Lieberman will win that Senate race 56-41 with 3% going to Schlesinger.
The race for Senator Bill Frist’s seat is tight, and Ford and Corker have been going back and forth with single digit poll leads. This one’s going to be close, but I hear Ford is campaigning well in TN as a moderate and I predict that seat will go to Democrats in a nailbiter. That’s not how I want it to go, but that’s how I think it will.
Racial politics aside, I think Sen. George Allen will hang on to his Senate seat in Virginia.
Anyone else willing to go out on a limb and make a few election predictions?

In NJ, Bob Menendez will lose his Senate seat to Tom Kean Jr., in a 51-48 election.
Hillary will keep her seat and will challenge the all time margin for victory in NY. Spitzer will be the new governor of NY (and will also challenge the all time margin for victory). Cuomo will win over Pirro for the NYS AG race.
Steele will win against Cardin for Sarbane’s old Senate seat.
Since O’Malley has been a God-Awful Mayor of, and is not known outside Baltimore. Ehrlich will hang on and continue to Govern Maryland.
Allen will win in Virginia.
Diana Irey will beat Jack Murtha by significant numbers in Pennsylvania.
Jack.
I think that Leiberman will win in CT.
I have no idea what will happen in VA, because I don’t know how more blue Northern VA is now than before
I have a hunch Ford will in in TN
I would certainly hope that the Soprano State will stop sending wiseguys to the Senate. I would hope, but I do not expect. Unfortunately, Menendez wins.
New York State’s entire Democratic ticket will sweep to victory, even the majorly annoying Mr. Cuomo. Consdiering the quality of the opposition, the Democrats deserve to sweep.
And my most confident prediction: Olympia Snowe will win in Maine.
The Cowboys beat the Panthers on October 29.
In other, lesser news…
Allen wins in Virginia 52%-48%.
Burns wins 51%-49% in Montana.
Lieberman wins 49%-42% versus Lamont. The Nutroots claim “victory” for holding Joe under 50%.
Brown defeats DeWine 54-46% (make that the “Gang of 13″) and Chafee loses to whatshisname in RI 56%-44%. A pair of RINOs are bagged – MSM claims they are victims of a right-wing Republican “smear machine”. Democrats console Chafee by promising him an ambassadorship in the Feingold administration (to either the Islamic Republic of France, the Peoples Republic of Canada, or Coruscant).
UPSET SPECIAL THAT END UP BEING, AH, UPSETTING: Kean wins in NJ in November but Menendez is later selected by the NJ Supreme Court after umpteen “recounts”. The “official” reason: thousands of previously uncounted ballots are “discovered” in die-hard Democratic districts and the back of Ted Kennedy’s sedan. Chairman Mao, Robert Mugabe and Tammany Hall, eat your hearts out!
