Would have been on this story sooner, but I started having computer issues shortly after 9 this morning. A terrorist plot to kill soldiers at Ft. Dix has been busted:
Federal investigators last night arrested six Islamic radicals who were planning a heavily armed attack against soldiers at Fort Dix as part of a jihad against America, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
In a statement released this morning that confirmed an earlier report on nj.com, The Star-Ledger’s Web site, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said the men planned to “kill as many soldiers as possible.”
The alleged plot included conducting surveillance of the Army base and purchasing multiple firearms, including hand guns, shotguns and semi-automatic weapons, according to the federal complaint released this morning.
The bust came after several of the suspects were lured by a secret informant to a meeting with an arms-seller, according to the complaint.
Some of the would-be attackers have been living illegally in the United States, while others are legal immigrants, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office. Four are ethnic Albanians, one was born in Turkey, and a sixth was born in Jordan, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
Officials identified the men as Dritan Duka, 28, Eljvir Duka, 23, Shain Duka, 26, Serdar Tatar, 23, Mohamad Shnewer, 22, and Agron Abdullahu, 24. They are described as being in their early 20s.
The six had been under FBI surveillance for 15 months and prepared for their alleged plot by shooting paintball guns and real weapons in Gouldsboro, Pa., 30 miles southeast of Scranton, officials said. One had experience as a sniper in Kosovo, according to the complaint.
The men also allegedly watched jihadist videos in which Osama bin Laden urged them toward martyrdom.
Gee. A terror plot involving “Islamic radicals.” Imagine that. And to think I got jumped yesterday (and today) in email and attempted nasty, unprintable comments for expressing concern as to whether or not the backback explosion on Monday involved an Islamic radical, considering that’s been a method they’ve used before, and today we read about a terrorist plot against US soldiers that was supposed to take place on American soil - planned out by ……………… Islamic radicals.
You idiots on the moonbat left who only see the President and ‘Christians’ as the “real” enemy ever gonna get a clue? Ever going to get beyond slamming people for rightly worrying that an explosion or a thwarted plot is the work of an Islamofascist? Was your first thought today when you heard about this plot was that it was a “Christianist” plot? I wonder which one of the lefty ‘bats declared the news of this thwarted plot as ‘overblown’ first? Hey, it’s happened before.

Also, several of them were from Yugoslavia, they hate us for Clinton’s war! Wait, weren’t we trying to help the ethnic Albanians and Muslim Serbs and Croats by keeping the Yugoslavians from committing genocide against them? So, the liberals constantly say that they hate us and want to kill us for what we do, apparently saving them from destruction earns us just as much hatred as fighting them. Clinton was just creating more terrorists by trying to save them. Didn’t he know anything! Why, we need to go into Darfur now now now, they aren’t trying to kill us yet, so we have to save them so they will attack us later. And where’s our exit strategy for Yugoslavia, it’s a quagmire, a quagmire I tells ya!

I was just thinking, for the ones who are in this country illegally, they should not be dealt with by the civilian justice system of police and courts. They are unlawful enemy combatants, so ship their sorry butts down to Gitmo for the duration, don’t waste the time of the courts up here with them. They are the very definition of unlawful combatant ala the Geneva Conventions, so let’s just interrogate them and shoot them or hang them the way we did in WWII with Germans spies and saboteurs who were caught here.

And there’s just one of many places where the libs have it completely backwards. The jihadis don’t hate us for what we do. They hate us for what we are, namely, infidels. Not only the Christians, but the Buddhists, the Hindus, and most of all the Jews. In their twisted minds (the jihadis, not the liberals), their god demands blood. We’re faced with a savage cult with 10th-century standards, and the liberals want us to be talking with them as if we were the local school board negotiating with the teacher’s union. Guess what…not happening.
By the way, the Cherry Hill terrorists were holed up a block or two from my lawyer’s office, and not more than about four miles from the Rat’s nest. Scary stuff.
I’m with Sev on how to dispose of the illegals - give them a one-way ticket to Gitmo. But first I’d have them “guarded” for a few days by some soldiers from Fort Dix.

Didn’t some clown at VA Tech just kill 30+ people with just 2 handguns and yet yet it was the G.O.P. Congress who let the Assault-rifle ban elaspe. Please correct me if I’m mistaken. Secondly these rocket scientists got tipped off to the cops because they were dumb enough to make a copy of their own jihadi video at a local photo shop. Yeah that was real smart. Don’t get me wrong I’m happy they got nailed but to use this case as an example of progress being made in the GWOT is quite a strech folks. What is wrong with us, uhhhh, I’ll hazard a guess that we actually have a brain, use it, and are aware of the greater world and history. Damned inconvenient isn’t it? Unlink most liberals, we are open minded to facts and reality, but not so open minded our brains have fallen out.
Apparently unless someone is of the caliber of Erst Staffel Von Blofeld, or Dr. Evil, in your mind that means they can’t be a terrorist? In case you haven’t been paying attention, most of the terrorists in the world aren’t exactly the brightest bulbs on the string, or they wouldn’t by into the whole ideology and 72 raisins thing.
These people should be shipped immediately to Gitmo for interrogation and execution, in accordance with the GC and the way we used to do it, back when the US actually had a spine.

What does the assault rifle ban have to do with Virginia Tech? He didn’t walk in there with an AK. He used a Walther P22 handgun and a Glock 9mm handgun.

Why yes Tommy, some clown did. As you said in your own statement, the VT killer used HANDGUNS, what does an ASSAULT WEAPONS ban have to do with that? Assault weapons are used in less than 1% of crimes across the nation. The assault weapons ban was nothing more than vote getter. I also seem to recall that the famous North Hollywood shootout in which two drug induced maniacs fired thousands of rounds of ammunition at police. I also seem to recall that this incident occurred in the middle of the so called “assault weapons ban”, making absolutely no difference whatsoever.
I would also like to know what the VT incident has to do with the topic. Another lefty tactic, when you can’t win the argument, change the subject.

First off while these clowns were Muslim doesn’t make these jerk-offs Al-Queda the most obvious reason being that they were as stupid as they were. If they WERE trained by AQ they probably wouldn’t have made the mistakes that they did. Secondly the timing of the arrests is a little suspect after all the FBI spend around a year tailing these clowns around. Now it’s quite possible that they had to but I’M always suspect with 43’s Admin’s timing. After all in 04 before the elections the terror alert raised several times and since then?How many? There goes the BDS again. Facts: it takes time for law enforcement to build a case (NC Cop, please correct if I’m off base). It takes time to insert an informant, gather the evidence, and make sure you have all the participants and actions fully documented. Then you move. Not at the first sign of an accusation.
So now if you apprehend terrorists, you’re “playing politics”. OK, got it. That explains while the last Dem president did nothing when he wouldn’t take out bin Laden when he had him in the crosshairs, and did nothing about the USS Cole attack. He was above “playing politics”. So in tommy’s world, the only way for us to be safe from terrorism is to do nothing about it.
I don’t know what planet tommy’s living on, but I’m pretty sure I know what’s he’s inhaling in the atmosphere there.
