Senator Webb to Senator Graham: Don’t put words in the mouths of our soldiers

The left is lapping up like a thirsty dog comments made from Senator Jim Webb to Senator Lindsay Graham this weekend on Meet the Press regarding the war in Iraq – specifically, this comment:

“May I speak!” Webb said, as Graham tried to interrupt him. “This is one thing I really take objection to” he said, “is politicians who try to put their political views into the mouths of soldiers.”

The entire transcript is available here.

I think Webb’s statement rings hollow, especially considering the number of times members of his own party have done that over the last 6 or so years, whether it be through ‘disgruntled’ military vets or other so-called ’supporters of the troops.’ Brian at Iowa Voice makes mincemeat out of Webb’s absolute moral authority claim here. Make sure to read it all.

I watched that exchange yesterday. Webb was just out of his mind, I thought he was going to get physical. The anger of the lefties is amusing but at the same time frightening. They are worked up like I have never seen.

Why is it that peaceful people get so angry and at times, violent?:)>-

They just can not stand not getting their way.

My brother lives near Lawton, Oklahoma, home of Fort Sill, about 80% of that county voted for Bush, that tells you something about how the military feels.
