Oppose impeachment? You're guilty of treason

John Hawkins was brave enough to go digging around the troll-infested swamps of the Daily Kos recommended diaries to find out what some of their diarists are up to, and found this, um, nugget from DK diarist “Greyhawk” (emphasis added):

Now is the time for us, as a nation, to stand together and face the criminals inhabiting and infesting our government. It’s time for Congress to impeach, convict and remove all elements of this dangerous infection, preventing them from ever holding office again.

And anyone — Liebercrat or Republican — who stands to oppose impeachment, conviction and removal should be tried for their role as accomplice in the sedition and treason against the United States. No more should they be permitted to hide behind snivelling protocols and talk out both sides of their mouths — either they are with the nation, or they are part of the criminal conspiracy currently thwarting the will of both Congress and the People.

Translation: Agree with us – or PAY!

So much for that commitment Kos made to better monitor the utter nonsense and filth that is being posted on a daily (hourly?) basis on his own blog.

Or maybe he’s ok with Greyhawk’s suggestion …

Over on a couple of boards there is a jerk by the nom de plume of hashfanatic who isn’t finished until he makes a reference to the Bush Crime Family.

There are 3 crime families in US politics, The Kennedys, the Clintons, and the Gores.

Not that any of the nutroots over there have too many thinking skills, but this Greyhawk character clearly isn’t the sharpest tool in the shed. He’s going through a long, rambling, pointless dissertation that President Bush ought to be impeached because of something an ancestor did 75 years ago (yeah, suuuuuure). He’s posing as if he’s some sort of historian and authority – but then he drops this monumental display of ignorance in the comments:

Of course, anyone with even the most casual knowledge of that era knows this is a quote from FDR, not Churchill.

Or maybe, on Greyhawk’s planet, that quote is accredited to Ward Churchill, who’s probably one of his heroes.

I swear, sometimes I think these people are too unstable to be allowed to use keyboards.

Well, Kos gets so many comments that he couldn’t possibly monitor them all! My poor site gets about a tenth the traffic of our beautiful blogmistress, and I can’t always keep track of every comment; how Sis could keep up is beyond me!@

But if anyone who opposes impeachment, trial and removal is a traitor, that would make Nancy Pelosi a traitor!
