Blake Dvorak at the Real Clear Politics blog posted today about a despicable ad being run by the Louisiana Democratic party against Republican candidate for governor and Congressman Bobby Jindal in which they use his own words to spin a deceptive picture which paints him as supposedly anti-Protestant. Here’s the video:
Captain Ed led the way in the blogosphere today tearing to shreds the claims being made by the Louisiana Democratic party who apparently is so desperate to keep the governor’s mansion that they’ll do just about anything, including making dishonest religious attacks against the opposition.
Isn’t this something? You’ve got a state still recovering from the devastating aftermath of Hurricane Katrina almost two years later, and these people want to deceptively focus on Bobby Jindal’s writings on religion? Yeah, like that’s really going to solve all the problems in Louisiana right now.

There is another blogger who lives down there who has done some stuff on this as well. If I remember correctly the link is Opinionated Catholic. I hope that is right.
And yes, this is stupid, surely we are beyond the Catholic/Protestant wars.

Through your link I found a like to a pro Bobby Jindal Site. From what I’ve read so far, it looks like a pretty positive campaign on his part.

Actually,
After further review, there is not only a jindal is good website, there is also a jindal is bad website.
It’ll will be interesting to read both sites and see which site:
a) gets thier message across more clearly.
b) is more believable.

The Opinionated Catholic is a Republican who has done a lot of grass roots work for the GOP in Louisiana, that takes guts.
