Sister Toldjah!
8/25/2007 - 9:15 pm

Read this letter. All of it. Addressed from Martin Lewis at the HuffPo to Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Peter Pace, begging him to “arrest” the President on charges of “conduct unbecoming.”

At the same time I was reading this, I was also watching the History Channel’s two hour special on debunking 9-11 myths (in which they rely heavily on Popular Mechanics’ exhaustive research on the conspiracy theories). I knew about a few of the conspiracies, but I had no idea there were so many theories and that the movement itself was so big (supposedly some 6 million have watched the conspiracy theory movie “Loose Change” - which, incidentally, was debunked here). These include conspiracy theories like the 9-11 hijackers were government agents, among other demented assertions. I also watched as some of these conspiracy theorists confronted family members of 9-11 victims while they were at Ground Zero mourning them years later.

I’m convinced. I knew the left was losing it, but I hadn’t given up hope on ‘em until tonight. They’ve freaking lost it. They’ve eclipsed the level of hatred and disgust conservatives felt towards President Clinton by miles.

  1. Sing it Sister!!!!!!!!!!!

I almost voted for Clinton in 1992. I’d say I was about 51% for Bush and 49% for Clinton, it really was a tough choice. Thank God I can say now that I wasn’t responsible for putting Slick Willy in office.

But then, like now, I never HATED the man! I disagreed with things he did, most of them, but I didn’t want him dead or arrested like so many of the looney left. Pres. Clinton’s refusal of armor and air support for the troops in Somalia was a direct cause of the mission turning into a disaster that day and let to the deaths of almost 20 soldiers in one day.

There could have been plenty of dereliction of duty charges leveled at Clinton and cries for his arrest, but I never felt like the BDS people feel. It’s pathetic and I ALMOST feel sorry for them.

  2. ST this sounds to me like the plot for the below novel and movie Seven Days in May . [LINK]

Seven Days in May, movie release date February 12, 1964.
The novel and film tell the story of fictitious U.S. President Jordan Lyman (Fredric March). As the story begins, Lyman faces a wave of public dissatisfaction with his decision to sign a treaty with the Soviet Union, an agreement that will supposedly result in both nations simultaneously destroying their nuclear weapons under mutual international inspection. This is extremely unpopular with both the President’s opposition and the military, who believe the Soviets cannot be trusted.
As the debate over the treaty rages on, an alert and well-positioned Pentagon insider, United States Marine Corps Colonel Martin “Jiggs” Casey (Kirk Douglas) becomes aware of a conspiracy among the Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) led by his own superior officer, the charismatic head of the JCS, Air Force General James Mattoon Scott (Burt Lancaster).

    Left imitates art?:d

  3. Sister,

I’ve been exposed to quite a few loonies who believe this stuff here in CA.

And all I can say is… they don’t know it but… it taints everything they say and I would NEVER do business with them.

I saw the same thing you saw on TV I think. I also saw a debate between the Popular Mechanics fellow and a Loose Change guy. The Loose change guy was very disrespectful and the Popular Mechanics guy remained composed throughout.

Additionally I’ve heard Michael Medved address caller after caller who just are off their rockers… It does something to me that I can’t explain. It makes me feel so many emotions. Anger, sadness, bewilderment, frustration, disbelief, and on and on.

There is about 100 different claims…. From the claim the twin towers fell at “free fall speed” which is untrue to the hole in the side of the Pentagon was only the size of a missile which isn’t true. I’ve reviewed many of these claims repeatedly with the facts that get distorted and I’ve felt that the “left” and 9/11 truthers out there are just simply dangerous, bad for America and will be the downfall of this country….. I can’t say it any simpler.. And unfortunately there are so many negligent people out there that polls have shown almost a third of down right idiots on this issue alone…

  4. WOW! Was that “Martin Lewis”, or “Martin & Lewis”? What an idiot! One commenter had the response I’ve always felt is most appropriate regarding Bush following Patraeus’ advice. It’s the first thing I think of when I hear moonbats speak of Bush disregarding advice, that there must obviously be opposing advice that he IS following!

  5. It is really sad when so many fools think our own govenrment did this, really sad. They hate Bush and their own country so very much.
Wonder if any of em will pick up a weapon to defend their sorry asses when they come over here to fight us.
I’m a woman obviously but I’d fight like an uncaged animal in the streets when it comes to the defense of my beloved America, it just makes me sick the loons are still out there touting this crap 24/7.
arrowhead huffington needs to go back to her coutry of origin, I’m sick to death of her too. !!!!

  6. I admit I voted for Bill Clinton twice (I’m one of those people who woke up on 9/11), and I always thought, and still do, that the relentless campaign against him was over the top. But it never even approached the level of hatred and sheer lunacy that Bush Derangement Syndrome has reached. Advocating a military coup is the total reverse of what so-called pacifist, anti-war leftists say they are about, and yet they can’t even see the contradiction.

It’s not the depth of feeling these people have that’s so scary. It’s that there are so many of them.

    Comment by RebeccaH @ 8/26/2007 - 10:41 am

  7. I must admit, I did not like or trust him but never ‘hated’ Slick. I was more disgusted to watch his foibles and triangulations while the nation was on autopilot.

But I absolutely despise his poor excuse for a wife. She turns my stomach then and now. You get two for one, remember? She is obnoxious, desperate and determined to take control. That’s not a good sign and not good news for a free society if she somehow does. I have no fear of strong intellegent women. Only the ones with a socialist agenda.

I agree with Rebecca. Their depth of feeling is scary but I don’t think that there are that many of them. They get a lot of attention because of the democrat party public relations agency, the MSM and their Hollywood celebrity cheerleaders.

  8. There are more loons on both sides of the political aisle than anyone cares to admit to.

This is an example of hate+paranoia=stupid.

But then again I have heard things about Jorge Bush and the North American Union that were very nearly as bizarre.

However, in a contest, the left still wins the loony contest.

  9. We have a civilian commander in chief, with a constitutional term limit, and a civilian defense secretary. What are these loony-tunes proposing, a military junta? Remember lefties, most of our troops vote right!

  10. Back in 1992, I was not a voter, but urged people to vote for George Bush Senior, based on a few facts. George Bush had served in the military in World War II, and was Vice President under Ronald Reagan. He has also been president for 4 years.

Bill Clinton on the other hand, avoided the military draft, was a womanizer, and had smoked pot. The first thing Bill Clinton did as president, was the don’t ask don’t tell policy, which seemed reasonable to me, and he earned my respect.

I actually grew to like Bill Clinton, but later there was the Paula Jones, Juanita Broderick scandal. Added to the fact that there was an indication he sold our military secrets to the Chinese to finance his campaign he lost my respect again.

What happened with Monica Lewinsky drew attention away from the women that he had actually harmed. I had no sympathy for Monica Lewinsky, and always thought that she was a willing participant where the other women were not.

  11. Also, if not for Ross Perot, would George Bush Senior have won the 1992 election? Any thoughts on that?
