A tale of two retractions

Michelle Malkin sums up nicely The New Republic’s admission – after 5 months of dodging and weaving – that they can’t stand by the Beauchamp stories, and notes the differences between TNR’s belated mea culpa and National Review Online’s immediate addressing of questions regarding recent questionable reporting that had been posted on their Tank blog.

It’s a study in contrast between two popular online opinion outlets when questioned about the credibility of their reporting. TNR decided to try and put their accusers on the defensive, while feigning shock that anyone could possibly dare question their reporting, while NRO understood and addressed the concerns, apologized, and didn’t lay the blame on the factcheckers.

Liberals don’t understand being ethical as all their gains come after violating any kind of ethics.

TNR should never be referenced as a credible publication or a source to back your arguments.

It’s like I always say. It is easier to nail Jello to the wall than get a liberal to do the right thing. Yet another case of lime jello sliding down the wall. – Lorica
