How does Super Tuesday stack up for Democrat, Republican candidates?

The LA Times takes a look at how the Super Tuesday states stack up for each candidate on the Democrat side, and calls the race “close” with Hillary having an edge. 1,700 delegates are in play for the Dems on Feb. 5th, with a total of 2,025 needed when all is said and done for the Democrat candidate to become the nominee.

Similarly, the Washington Post takes a look at the Republican race to Super Tuesday, and talks about which states the candidates will focus on going into The Big Day. The winning Republican candidate will need 1,191 delegates total of the 2,380 to represent his party in the general. Over 1,000 Republican delegates will be in play on Tuesday for the GOP, which means there’s a strong possibility that we’ll be closer to knowing who our nominee will be than the Dems will.

Last week, the AP had an analysis showing that, by their figures, there is no mathematical way for the nominee for either party to be decided on Super Tuesday.
