Gustav and the GOP convention

Posted by: Sister Toldjah on August 31, 2008 at 9:13 pm

Michelle Malkin’s got the latest developments on both.  Gustav’s on track to hit New Orleans and surrounding areas on the Gulf Coast in the next two days.  New Orleans is a ghost town.  Looks like several of the activities scheduled for tomorrow have been canceled, per McCain.  Cheney and Bush won’t be there, either.

Mega-prayers are going out to the Gulf Coast area.

Can I plug someone here for a minute?
Cajun chef Paul Prudhomme, whose politics I do not know, responded heroically when Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans, and destroyed many of his employees’ homes, although he was not directly affected personally. He immediately set up feeding stations for first responders, and went above and beyond the call of duty in supporting them, as well as any of his employees who experienced problems.
I will pray for all who are affected, but I will send up a special prayer for him.

Paul Prudhomme is still alive? For some reason I thought he’d died a while back.

Regardless of his politics, that’s the exact kind of behavior that should be lauded, he done good.

I am just disgusted beyond words having seen the videos presented by MM. I have heard children talk like that but you understand that they are children and as such they speak with out thinking.
These supposedly intelligent, tolerant, enlightened, and above moral reproach members of the DNC and their supporters have shown themselves to be just the opposite.
My prayers are with all of us here in the coastal states facing hurricane Gustav.
