We are all polar bears

Or at least you’d think so, after reading alarmist screeds like this one.

Billions of years, the animals have lived, thrived, evolved, and sustained. Sure they can live without us, and will continue.

I’m all for conservation, and preservation, but c’mon. It’s just as much of an encroachment in my opinion, for all these so called animal protectors, to go in with their big humvees, and tags, and monitors, and cages, and traumatize these animals with tranquilizer guns, and do their tests, and take their samples….but no more than it would be for an oil drilling set up.

Either way, the animal is affected…and either way, that animal will survive, and strive. All the efforts man has done so far, are significant compared to 10, 20 even 30 years ago, yet this cycle continues? Get a grip. I’m pretty sure this is cylical, and not man made. This is Gores way of making money. If he was so damned concerned, then why do they always seem to be leaving the limo running?

And to you scientists, that want to study the polar bear in the name of diabetes? Isn’t that exploitation of the animal? Hypocrites.

My husband, son and I are probably the only three people on the face of the earth who hated “March of the Penguins.” Love story? It “has a log to teach us humans”? Make an embryo, and then split up for months? Child stealing? Split forever in less than a year, abandoning your adolescent to fend for himself? Some love story. Some lesson. And those penguin-loving cinematographers didn’t have the slightest qualm about filming the slow death of a penguin chick. Silly me, I’d have tried to save it.

The greenies believe deeply in evolution–right up until January first, 1901. Then all evolution was supposed to stop, and any changes in the status quo ante were the result of nefarious unnatural human activity.
I’ve got news for them: human beings are natural creatures. We have as much right to be here as polar bears or snail darters or mosquitoes. Sure, we should be clean, and do the right thing, but we are just as natural as anything else.
