The Gov. Palin bashing from within the McCain campaign

Posted by: Sister Toldjah on November 6, 2008 at 12:29 pm

I can’t really add anymore to this, outside of noting that one should never underestimate the ability of Republicans in positions of influence to shoot the entire party in its collective foot with idiotic, unsubstantiated remarks like the ones made by “brave” unnamed campaign sources on the pages of various newspapers today including, of course, the Palin-hating NYT.

Some people really need to grow the hell up.

MM just put up a thank you petition for Sarah Palin.

    2. I signed. I’m also sending a card to her Anchorage office.

      I’m such a fan-boy. :x

I signed, but I’m a bit concerned about that site.

Fox News has more on this subject. I liked this quote best of all.

Randy Scheunemann, McCain’s foreign policy adviser, called the idea of a split between the two campaigns “laughable.”

“It’s hard to believe these people worked for John McCain. They obviously have no loyalty to John McCain and no loyalty to his running mate,” said Scheunemann, who prepared Palin for the vice presidential debate.

“I’ve worked in Washington for over 20 years. I have seen literally dozens of politicians, and Sarah Palin is as smart, tough and focused as any politician I’ve ever seen. I’m proud of the time I was able to spend with her,” he said.

Meg Stapleton, a campaign spokeswoman for Palin, said the accusations were unfortunate.
“We have the highest regards for Sen. John McCain,” she said in an e-mailed statement. “Gov. Palin was honored to be chosen as McCain’s running mate.”

I know for my part, I am very proud of Sarah Palin. – Lorica

C’mon Lorica! The woman is dumb as a rock! She doesn’t even know there are 57 states! 8-|

You know the truly sad thing about this is that I have not heard John McCain come to Sarah’s defense. He came to Barack’s defense fast enough, even shutting down a woman who held the mic when she was talking about Barack being a Muslim. Yet here it is over 24 hours after these punks started their anonymous attacks, and there is not a single comment out of John. If he doesn’t say something soon, I will have lost all respect for Mac. – Lorica

    7. It’s sad that these punks feel the need to cover their rears by blaming Palin for their own failures. And it just reeks with irony: Wallace, the woman who was responsible (and ducked responsibility for) the clothes fiasco came from the Bush communications team. Some “communication” skills she has. 8-|

After she was nominated, I studied Sarah Palin quite closely*, and I’m confident the smears coming from former campaign aides are just a bunch of hooey. She’s smart, she’s tough, and she’s of good character. And she’s my candidate for 2012. So there. [-(

Hmmm… I expect will see Scheuneman on her foreign policy team then, too.

*(No not like that, you pervs. That never occurred to me. Really. :"> )
