How very disturbing.
For Britain.
Michael van der Galien nails it:
Fantastic. Labor once again shows its true colors. Its goal is not to protect the British people again violence, it is to protect them against “unwanted ideas.”
Unwanted ideas, of course, are ideas Labor disagrees with.
You have to wonder how long it takes before former President George W. Bush will be declared “least wanted person #17.”
Now don’t get me wrong. [Michael] Savage is an impolite, rude, obnoxious, intolerant man who discriminates against people for their faith and who purposefully tries to insult them. I do not feel any need to defend him personally. In fact, I have little appreciation for what he does.
But that is not what this is about. This is about the freedom of speech, and people’s freedom to listen to whom they please. Savage may not be the most friendly person in the world, but being unfriendly is not a crime.
It surely has become clear in recent years why “1984? was written by a Brit, no?
Another thought: If they’re willing to go through these extremes to keep “unwanted ideas” from getting into their country, what extremes will they go through to stifle “unwanted ideas” that are already there …? ![]()

Britain is just going to hades in a hand basket–I’ve been reading in their press how they are more likely to take children out of homes where the parents fight than ones where there is sexual abuse–and now there this –It’s on Irish Spy too.. Dems will just shut down free speech on the internet.
Savage is annoying as all-heck and does conservatism no good, but to put him on the same list as dedicated Islamic fascists is way over the top.
sadly the Islamic fascists are probably soon to be running most of Europe–since most of Europe has decided to surrender.
Agreed, Anthony! Savage sells anger and years ago, when I used to listen on occasion, I found that sometimes I was upset about the same issues. However, a steady diet gave me headaches; I realized that while I am frequently unhappy and disenchanted with my government & many politicians but I am not always angry.
savage often is the only person who speaketh the truth. he’s usually way ahead of the curve, and is pretty humorous, too. where will all this incremental political correctness eventually take us? to a perfect society/world? or to a totalitarian nightmare?
Right on, Bill. I am afraid it is the “totalitarian nightmare.”
I’m no fan of Michael
Weiner, er, “Savage,” but banning him or anyone else is wrong.Especially given that Londonistan still hosts so many radical Muslims….
Not that many people in Britain have heard of Michael Savage. Goodness knows why that ditzhead put him on the list. As for what you read in the papers about the country, zombywolf, especially as I suspect it is the Daily Mail, I should be very cautious about believing it. Honestly. I cannot stress that strongly enough. Besides, the fact that these things are written in the press would indicate that we have not quite reached the same stage as North Korea has. Just saying.
I think Michael Savage has a valuable place in the market of ideas….so he’s angry. Maybe he’s too emotional for you, but then you abide the touch-feely libs emotional diatribes, don’t you? He is quite intelligent, too, and I have never heard him malign anyone regarding their religion, except for the politically-charge islamofacism, which is not really a faith issue. I don’t listen to him all the time but my husband listens to him while he’s at work….as a teamster trucker. He thinks the guy makes sense and told me about this latest salvo from across the pond. Mr. Savage is going to sue the beasts for liable…let’s see how they respond to that.
