Quote of the day: Obama on Bubba

Posted by: ST on June 2, 2009 at 8:49 pm

From an upcoming book on Obama’s campaign for President by former Newsweek reporter Richard Wolffe:

His wife is now Obama’s secretary of state, but Obama had some tough words for the actions of former President Bill Clinton during the campaign.

“We had to figure out how to deal with a former president who was just lying, engaging in bald-faced lies,” Obama explained to Wolffe.

And now we have to figure out how to – without being accused of racism – deal with a current President who is engaging in bald-faced lies himself.

Here’s a detailed excerpt from the book on the internal debate on whether or not to pick Hillary Clinton for Sec. of State.

Read more quotes from the book here. More excerpts can be found here.

  1. I suspect you’ll be reading this book cover to cover, and will have a lot to say about what Obama says (or doesn’t say) about who played which race-card.

  2. NC Cop says:

“We had to figure out how to deal with a former president who was just lying, engaging in bald-faced lies,”

    Said the liar.

  3. SpideyTerry says:

Y’know, Bill has done a lot of things worthy of mocking and condemnation. On the other hand, he told those 9/11 truthers off, so he definitely earned my respect.

Obama, meanwhile, is a sack of garbage and will likely never do anything to earn my respect.

  4. amwoman says:

Obama played the race card, not only against the Clintons, but against us. Now he’s doing it to try and control us over Sotomayor. I don’t have attention deficit disorder, so I can remember that far back, like last week?

  5. MarkJ says:

Proposed title for President Zero’s next book:

“Backstab and Trash-Talk Your Way to Success: The Obama Way!”

Question: Why is Obama getting a “Man of the Century Award” from Greyhound Bus Lines?

Answer: Obama has thrown more people under his bus in the last two years than in Greyhounds’ entire history: Greyhound recognizes real talent when it sees it.

He says he would not play politics as usual and we should look forward not back. He then goes after all his political opponents, accusing them of crimes against the state. I have never seen a president I have so distrusted. Hillary should have been President not him. He stinks. He is going to bankrupt this country. I am beginning to belive he is purposefully trying to destroy this country. What is most disconcerting is that if you criticize him or his policy or choices for office, you are accused of racism. Balderdash. He once said of his grandmother that she “was a typical white woman.” Change we can believe in. Turning the US into a socialist state and increased government control and government taking over the health care system is NOT the change I wanted. He bowed to a Saudi King and then his administration came up with a ridiculous set of lies to explain it.

  7. Carlos says:

It’s called projection, NC Cop, and it’s the favorite resort after libs’ talking points have been shot down because they’re meaningless, off-subject, evasive, or all of the above.

They tend to see in their opponents what they create in their own minds what they would do, and accuse accordingly.

Was Shrillary typing somewhere near the teleprompter…..again?
