Far leftists repeatedly interupt Sheriff Joe Arpaio … at First Amendment forum

PHOENIX (AP) – Hecklers in the audience broke into a loudly sung version of “Bohemian Rhapsody” and forced a high-profile Arizona sheriff to abandon a First Amendment forum sponsored by Arizona State University’s journalism school.
Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio was asked by a panel of journalists Monday night to explain his relationship with the media, his various law enforcement policies and whether his office conducts racial profiling.
Arpaio told the panel that his office is an “equal opportunity law enforcement agency” that will arrest anyone who violates the law.
Later in the interview at ASU’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication, protesters began singing a version of “Bohemian Rhapsody” and chanting as Arpaio was asked about a federal investigation and his policies on illegal immigration.
Sigh. SSDD.

I am sure at some point, one of these budding journalists will be a guest of the good Sheriff at the tent facility for being a shitbird. It would be so poetic, would in not? And as for myself I would find it downright amusing.
And this surprises anyone why? His views obviously are not those of leftist idiot students whose only function is complete re-education by marxist professors, therefore he cannot be correct and also therefore cannot be allowed to voice those opinions where some students may be infected by “thinking”.
The university system in nearly every state and nearly every institution is so rotten to the core that actual thinking is derided.
Well said, Carlos. The left believes in free speech as long as they AGREE with that free speech. Anything contradictory to their beliefs is “hate speech” and must be silenced at all costs.
Ten to one says the leftist chowder heads wouldn’t be saying a peep if Sheriff Joe was arresting illegal Irishmen instead of illegal Mexicans.
He should have stopped his speech walked over to them and started checking IDs. Anyone who didn’t want to show their ID should have been detained, and escorted out. Then he could continue his speech. Sadly he didn’t.

The sponsors promised that there would be no interuptions…never trust higher learning (a contradiction in terms).
….I guess they had to check their cream pies at the door and all they could come up with was singing “Bohemian Rhapsody” instead…seems like the “high” minded thing to do. I would have taken a drug sniffing dog with me…hehehe.
Experience should have told Sheriff Joe that these jokers would not let him speak and just wanted to have their 15 seconds of fame….I think they mistook this forum for the New American Idol Try outs….
If they’re so enamored with Bohemia, they should move to that workers’ paradise and leave the law enforcement to someone who has a grip on reality, not pink elephants and unicorns.

I USED to live near the ASU campus in Tempe and I can testify to the fact that this entire area is the biggest crime ridden, drug infested drunken rathole the world has ever seen. Thank you God for getting me outa there…meanwhile, the rest of this city is virtually taken over by illegals. Entire neighborhoods which were once nice, well maintained areas turned into slums. The grocery store is fun – standing behind all these people with their food stamps buying beer. And these people will actually get in your face and say they’re taking over America. Way to go ASU !
Actually Joe probably got his residual up front so when the morons didn’t stop he probably felt that their side of the contract was broken and he could just walk out and keep the money. – Lorica
Obviously, DaveinPhoenix, you’ve never been to Pullman, WA. They don’t have the criminal aliens Phoenix does, but it almost seems the water taps at WSU dorms and student housing are connected directly to pub kegs.
Having said that, it doesn’t mean theey don’t have their fair share of illegals, too.
