Biden visits custard stand, mistakes it for an ice cream parlor

But that’s not all our gaffetastic Vice President had to say:

Vice President Joe Biden served up a zinger at a Milwaukee, Wis., frozen custard shop Friday, telling the manager to stop “being a smart a- -” after he asked for lower taxes.

When Biden went to pay for his vanilla cone with chocolate flakes at Kopp’s Frozen Custard, the manager initially said: “Don’t worry, it’s on us,” according to a local television station.

After Biden insisted on paying, the manager said: “Lower our taxes and we’ll call it even.”

Biden, who has a long suffered from foot-in-mouth disease, then chided the worker to, “say something nice instead of being a smart a- – all the time.”

In other words, dude, Biden wanted a nice little “everything’s great, couldn’t be better” photo op and you just had to go and ruin it by requesting his boss’ administration lower taxes How dare you?

Local station WISN had video of the exchange:

Biden, for some odd reason, didn’t seem to want to take any questions (shocking). A GOP spokesman had this to say in response:

A spokesperson for the Republican Party tells WISN 12 news, “Vice President Biden probably decided not to take questions today because he didn’t want to fess up as to why Wisconsin has lost over 73,000 jobs since the stimulus was enacted.”

C’mon, Joey B.! Instead of your “smart-a**” remark to this small business owner, why didn’t you walk up to him nicely, put your hand on his shoulder, give it a little man to man squeeze, and respond that he shouldn’t complain about his “patriotic duty” to pay taxes, and that it’s “selfish” to think otherwise?

The level of disdain this adminstration has not just for “big business” but small business is outright astonishing. Candidate Obama made overtures to small business owners before he was elected that his administration would be “small business-friendly” but in reality, it’s been anything but. Any so-called “small business tax breaks” are going to be overshadowed by cost of the bloated healthcare bill alone – which will not only punish big business but small business as well, not to mention the effect cap and tax will have on the American business owner (and consumer, I should add), assuming that also gets rammed through before the fall elections.

This administration continues to believe that, in spite of loads of evidence to the contrary, that its big government, heavy taxation and over-regulation agenda is best for America at a time when, over two years after the economy started collapsing, we’re still going nowhere fast on the “recovery” path. Obama, Biden, and their admin minions are trying to sell you, me, and every other Americans a bill of goods on the issue of economic recovery by telling us that we’ve “turned a corner.” As long as this administration continues punishing success via choking the life out of big and small businesses alike, and in the process hurting millions of Americans looking for work, the only “corner” we’ll be turning on to is Socialism Ave. – a one way street. Needless to say, that will mean nothing more but continued bad – and dare I say worsening? – news for America.

It’s time for change. And I mean real change. November can’t get here fast enough.
