I’m sure by now that you’ve heard of Obama for America’s latest snitch efforts by way of a new website they’ve got up called “Attack Watch.” It’s been the subject of widespread ridicule on Twitter by conservatives, including by yours truly. Attack Watch – in addition to having a website which asks you to “report an attack” – also has both a Twitter page and a Facebook page. The site’s mission is to (cough) “Get the facts. Fight the smears.”
They’ve done this on many of their “fact” pages to other political opponents like Ambassador John Bolton and Gov. Perry. Other photos are in a grainy washed out grayish color. Oh, and you have to love the overall red and black color scheme. Brilliante.
Steyn colleague Mark Krikorian over at National Review Online is rightfully jealous:
I criticize the president on immigration every day! I’m quoted on this more than anyone! Heck, I even turned myself in yesterday, sending Attack Watch a link to my National Interest piece from last week about how the White House has downgraded immigration-law violation to a secondary offense, like not buckling your seat belt. What do I have to do to get arrested in this town?
I ask myself that question all the time! And I did it a lot when Keith Olbermann was on MSDNC every night declaring who the “Worst Person in the World” was. But he’s not on anymore, and ow, I’ll never get a chance. Oh well, at least I can revisit the “fan mail” page anytime I want to …
But seriously, isn’t it mildly amusing that a guy who puts on a very public face of wanting to “reach across the aisle” in order to “get beyond the season of silly” has a website that portrays critics as angry red-faced conservatives? Why, it’s almost as if the Team Obama 2012 has gotten inspiration from the mainstream media … ‘natch.
I swear, the best parody of this administration is … this administration. Seriously.
