Why is Bernie Kerik being tried in the media AFTER he withdrew his name for consideration for the Homeland Security post?

A couple of reasons come to mind.Firstly,Kerik is known to be Rudy’s man.. Destroy Kerik, destroy Rudy. Secondly,Kerik is a real,self made man, destroy him and the nancy boys in the Media stop looking like the wastrels they are. Thirdly, this provides a chink in the The Prsident’s armor supposedly.
I’ll think of a couple more when I wake up.

Good points, Dave – I have a feeling the media is making up for lost time here with regards to W. This is the closest they’ll get to a “sex scandal” with him and they’re going to make the most of it.

It’s ridiculous. The NYT has run a Kerik story every day this week. I guess it’s because when the story broke, they cried havoc and unleashed the dogs of investigative reporting, and now they have to bark on.
