My favorite part of the exchange was this! “At first, I really thought I was dealing with an intellectual equal when our chats began. You have disappointed me. It was never my intention to encourage you to so arrogantly participate in ‘doing the political dozens’ with me, for the obvious reason that you are right of center and I am to the left, and never the ‘twain shall meet. As for my estimate of 500,000 dead Iraqis, I merely used the 50,000 estimate admitted by our government and multiplied it by 10, which is probably pretty close to the real number of dead.

Sarah displayed hypocrasy at it’s finest.

She also displayed the pattern that sOOO many liberals display – one inaccurate accusation after another and when we try to confront said liberal with the facts they get really mad and condescening as if conservatives have no heart are mean spirited and do not care for the poor or elderly and are racist and sexist.

It is about time that liberals realize that the 50% of America that are conservatives do have a heart. Conservatives just have different solutions to the posed problems.

Conservatives have long recognized (though stated infrequently) that rank and file liberals have rose colored glasses or are “well intentioned” but just because a liberal is “well intentioned” doesn’t mean they are coming up with good solutions to the problems.

It is better to teach a person how to fish than give them fish (if they are able-bodied). It is better that people have a situation where they can see the results of their mistakes and it’s better to have a system where personal responsibility matters.

I had liberal acquaintances who had two SUV’s, just bought a new house and was talking about how it was too expensive to send thier toddler to daycare and yet both the mom and dad had to work. They were talking to me about how the government should FUND daycare (which they do).

And I said as the married guy at the time with a stay at home mom whose family was sacrificing with just one income, so my taxes should go to pay for your daycare when we are already sacrificing and watching our expenses and providing our own daycare? If taxes go up and “she” has to work it perpetuates a neverending UNaccountable cycle.

And what was Sarah’s point? That we should leave Iraq immediately?

1) The Congress just voted and less than 1% voted for that position.
2) If a power vacuum is left then how many more innocent Iraqi’s that Sarah expresses concern about will perish?

We will never know because the illogic is ALWAYS present. Liberals are good at expressing their feelings or knowing what they “feel” the solution should be but if we try to extrapolate towards the end result we continue to see:
1) The liberal changes to a new accusation instead of focusing on the solution they presented
2) The liberal can’t visualize or realize that their “felt” solutions might make things worse! And due to the fact that we care also, we don’t want things to be worse..

That exchange looks very familiar. Oh, yeah…all libs try that at some point or another. They send you a hate mail, and when you call them on it, all they can do is basically say “oh, yeah?” and call everyone names. It’s a template, I think. =D

I was happy to finally read how at least one liberal gets her “facts”. One of the things that always grabs me is how if a liberal disagrees with someone, the person they disagree with is ALWAYS a liar. Proven yet again by Sarah. – Lorica
