On the bright side, my fantasy hockey team won the regular season title in my league for the second straight year.

Now if I can keep them from choking in the playoffs again this year…

LOS ANGELES (AP) — House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Thursday on NBC’s “Tonight Show with Jay Leno” she has no plans to back down on her differences with the president over funding for the war on terror.

“I respect the office he holds, and I respect him,” she said.

A democrat, especially Pelosi, repsects the office he holds and she respects him?

Perhaps she does, but her fellow cohorts loathe this administration and this president. Not to mention her base….

She’s not stupid. What she says to the media will get spun in the best possible way to portray her as a “master” politician. What she says on live TV, which is viewed by the masses more than the NYT or CNN, cannot be spun, so she is polite and respectful.

Pelosi is many things, but she’s not stupid.
