As if conservatives don’t have enough to contend with: Michael Steele makes derogatory comments about Rush Limbaugh’s speech to the CPAC.

Last week Leslie chided conservatives for being concerned about the revival of the “Fairness Doctrine”:

The conservative movement turns into a clown act . . . our great great grandchildren may be in debt . . . and what are people worried about here? Why . . . why . . . it’s the fairness doctrine, which is so NOT coming back.

In other words, we should focus only on the economy – everything else is trivial in comparison.

So I’m curious how Leslie will react to this news item:

Obama releases secret Bush anti-terror memos

With the economy continuing to slide – the Dow has lost 20% since January 20 – shouldn’t the president be focusing on that instead of trashing George Bush? I mean, I can say with certainty that Bush “is so NOT coming back”. Unlike the return of the “Fairness Doctrine”, there are constitutional restrictions.

So what say you, Leslie? Is Obama now a clown act? Will you now tell him to “Just. Grow. Up.”?

My view is that Obama’s now so far in over his head that he’s using every distraction to divert our attention from the damage he’s doing, whether that means picking fights with Rush Limbaugh or stunts like this.
