Hey Sister….it’s been one of those weeks for me too…..one kid graduates and the other is expelled from school…One moves on to college the other has to be compelled to learn. Seems I have no middle ground!

But concerning this week….I must admit I have Obama Fatigue. I am tired of hearing about his magnificent speeches in the middle east, his eloquence and tolerance, and OH CRAP am I tired of his boring cadence!!! I am tired of hearing about his “family” life in the White House… the media Bloopers???Come on, now, I am just plain exhausted by the giddy and redundant praises of Obama. Yes, he is the president, but come on….this is getting to feel like 1984…George Orwell was right. We are just about at Revision 11 of Newspeak. We are almost ready to have the Big Brother posters everywhere and the unextinguishable telescreens that can watch you, run by the government that has squelched all dissent…yes, the OF (Obama fatigue) may be a mental health issue…maybe I can get some government drug. I am just about ready to drink the Koolaid….just to get some peace.

Kate: There’s really no reason to be bothered incessantly by the MIC. If you turn off the propaganda machine and find something/way to be constructive, you’ll be a much happier soul. Not even Fox news is a safe place to let your mind wander anymore. They too are far too compliant with bending and appeasing the not quite undead.

OT & BTW: I wish you the best in finding peace , not just with regard to teh nubian…..

Hm. Speaking of the Obamessiah…..

We live out here in the mountains and TV reception kind of sucks. We get NBC and CBS and that’s about it. Nevertheless, the hubby and I got bored with our movie collection last week and happened onto NBC’S series on Life In The White House starring BO himself.

Did anyone but me realize what NBC had used as background/bumper music? It’s Nina Simone’s redaction of “Sinner Man…..” Pay close attention to the lyrics:
