Wall Street Journal reports:

When Capt. Zinni spotted the four men planting the booby trap on the afternoon of Feb. 17, the first thing he did was call his lawyer.

“Judge!” he yelled.

Capt. Matthew Andrew, judge advocate for 1st Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, advises the battalion about when it is legal to order the airstrikes. He examined the figures on the video feed closely. “I think you got it,” Capt. Andrew said, giving the OK for the strike.

Unfortunately, after some children were spotted nearby the strike was cancelled and the terrorists escaped, free to kill and maim more of our troops.

Capt. Zinni had seen this scenario before in Marjah. Insurgents using women and children for cover as they moved weapons or crossed open spaces into fighting positions in buildings. In this case, the captain was certain that the children were acting—either by their own volition or under coercion—as shields for the men planting the bomb.

Exactly, so how do you fight an enemy willing to hide behind women and children. I’ve never seen or heard of such cowardice in my life. Disgusting human beings.

I’m all for protecting human rights and everything ….. but only if it is applied equally to both sides. And in the case of terrorism, it is not applied equally to both sides.

Websites of organizations like Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International are chocked full of condemnations of the U.S. in its fight against the terrorists claiming the U.S. violates everyone’s human rights. But try to search on their sites for any condemnation of the massive human rights violations committed by the Taliban, Al Qaeda, or other Islamic terrorists, and you will find not a single mention of any of THEIR human rights violations.

I’ve searched these so called “human rights” organization’s websites. Nothing but relentless condemnation of the U.S. in our fight against the terrorists and complete silence as the Taliban and Al Qaeda murder innocent men, women, and children, burn girl’s schools, attempt to blow up airlines full of passengers, assassinate democratically elected officials, openly call for genocide against Christians and Jews, etc.

So, in my mind, until the so called and self-appointed “human rights” advocates attempt to reign in the massive and unprecedented (except for the Nazis) human rights violations committed by the terrorists by holding THEM accountable, those terrorists DESERVE absolutely not one single consideration of THEIR human rights what-so-ever. End of story.

It’s obvious to me that these so called “human rights” organizations have nothing to do with human rights at all. But instead are nothing but political organizations pushing their own political agendas.
