Weekend Open Thread

This is a picture of the rose bush in my front yard. It’s blooming like it never has before in the over 3 years I’ve been here. It’s gorgeous – but very thorny, and almost overgrown. The previous owners apparently had a thing for roses, because there were also some trailing rose bushes in the front yard I had to deal with my first spring here (they’re gone – too much to handle).

In any event, that’s the only vibrant color, outside of deep green, that’s in my yard right now. Later this spring, or maybe in early summer, the lily bushes will bloom to a bright orangeish/pinkish color.
