Just realized I hadn’t started one of these in a few days. Also have a bit of a hectic morning ahead of me. I shall check back in when I can 🙂

Huh, I find it odd that on this day you would choose a picture of fireworks. Sorta fitting since it is the President’s 49th birthday. A very happy day in Kenya, a not so happy day for America, or the rest of the world. =)) – Lorica

Look for Hilary Clinton to be President Obama’s VP candidate in 2012! He needs her and she would help him getback some votes that he is losing now. also, it would (in Democratic eyes st least) set her up for a Presidential run in 2016.

That’s a good thing Wayne….the hospital whining about insurance pools should have done a little soul searching. The way to get people to enroll in anything is to make them understand their need and make it affordable and convenient. Many ways to do that without the need for this federal intervention into our daily lives!!!

This seems to have worked for auto insurance with so many states requiring it…the market exploded and the availability of auto insurance has not gone down.

As in almost everything…the free market is your best resource for change, choice and transparency…not the government.

@Kate: while I agree that the free market is the best resource for change, etc., I can’t agree that mandatory auto insurance has been a good thing. The availability of insurance isn’t the question; it’s that the cost of premiums hasn’t wavered one bit and have, as a matter of fact, continued to increase. Lord help us all, but it’s less than half of one’s costs to sign one’s name to the “uninsured motorist” blank at the DMV than to actually pay for insurance. Absurd.

That being said, there’s still a lot to like about Virginia: way to go Judge Hudson! :D

@KD….here in PA one cannot be an uninsured driver! Every vehicle driven must have the states “minimum” coverage or it cannot be registered. Hence, many company offering “minimum” coverage are all over the place. The fly in the ointment is UNDERinsured drivers who inflict more damage than they are covered for….which in turn spurs more coverage for the responsible driver who wants to have his car repairs covered in full in case of an accident involving an UNDERinsured driver.
