Wedding Singer love

Watched the movie “The Wedding Singer” over the weekend for about the 100th time. Just love it. I’m not a big Adam Sandler fan but he is adorable in this movie. The fact that it’s set in the 80s and plays a lot of the songs I love doesn’t hurt anything.

I can’t help it – I’m a child of the 80s! ;)

For those of you who know the movie know the song “True” is sung in the last scene by another “wedding singer”: Mega-talented actor Steve Buscemi. His version is deliberately funny and off key. The original is, of course, much better:

The original song was played in 1984’s “Sixteen Candles” movie. I think it’s during the scene where Samantha is watching her high school crush Jake dance with his girlfriend Caroline at the prom.
