OPEN THREAD: Taking the night off

Hey y’all,

Gonna take the night off to chillax. I’ve been on the computer so darned much this week with work stuff that I’m sick of looking at the screen. LOL. Next week may be the same as my beginning of the year workload is pretty heavy.

Am also discouraged/disgusted with how the GOP nomination race is playing out and need to clear my head a bit and regroup. Will probably check in again at some point later this weekend at the blog – may Tweet from the cell phone some as well.

In the meantime, here’s Robert Plant to carry you into the later Friday night hours.

I would not be getting down about the GOP race right now; it is way too early. I coached football for 26 years and learned the most meaningless part of a game was the score at halftime. It doesn’t matter how thngs start, it only matters how they end.

Heck, it’s not even five minutes into the first quarter. :) Early campaigns are always messy as the candidates try to knock each other out and we hear and see far too much of them; I recall 1980 being similar at this stage. And it’s worse now because, between traditional media and the Internet, the coverage is almost constant.

What does bother me, though, is that several of our strongest candidates stayed out.

Just got thru watching Debbie Wasserman-Schultz on Fox News Sunday. Does she really believe that garbage that spews out of her mouth?? Amazing the stupidity that was on display in this person. – Lorica
