The GOP has long asserted similarly but now the top Democrat Senator on the Senate Intelligence Committee appears to be in agreement:

Never let it be said that during an election year (more so than any other year) that the Obama administration’s self-proclaimed favorite network won’t try to rise to the occasion in order to try to negate legitimate criticisms of Dear Leader and attempt to deflect them onto his political opposition. Aurora #TheaterShooting: Another very painful reminder about the fragility of life
In the aftermath of today’s horrific events in Aurora, CO which left 12 dead and close to 60 injured, Kathleen McKinley has written a beautiful post in tribute to Jessica Ghawi, who went by the name @JessicaRedfield on Twitter. Jessica was an aspiring sportscaster who lived in Denver and was one of the 12 killed in this morning’s brutal murders inside the Century 16 theater at a midnight screening of “The Dark Knight Rises.”
