New Fox News prime-time lineup announced – will start Oct. 7
I don’t watch much news programming at night, but this switched around Fox News primetime line-up – plus the addition of Megyn Kelly – just might have me tuning in more often:
The Fox News Channelβs new evening programming schedule will premiere on Oct. 7, with another show joining what is already cable newsβ top-rated lineup.
βOn the Recordβ with Greta Van Sustren will air at 7 p.m. ET, followed by βThe OβReilly Factor,β continuing in its 8 p.m. slot. Megyn Kelly then debuts her new show, βThe Kelly File,β at 9 p.m., followed immediately by βHannityβ at 10 p.m. Chief News Anchor and Managing Editor Shepard Smith will be available throughout to insert the latest breaking news via the FOX News Deck.
The eveningβs new entrant, βThe Kelly Fileβ will focus on late-breaking news stories and in-depth investigative reporting. The show will air in a live format, embrace a stronger social media presence, and will capitalize on Kellyβs skills as a former litigator. The spot is a new venture for Kelly, who previously hosted βAmerica Liveβ during the day.
βIn 2003, I was an unhappy lawyer, and made a decision to change my life,β Kelly said in a statement. βTen years later, I’ve been able to do that thanks in large part to Roger Ailes, a boss who always gives me the same directive:Β βBe yourself and have fun.ββ
Awesome. Good luck, Megyn!
