Note that in 2012 Purdue University’s Society of Professional Engineers created a crazy apparatus that takes 300 steps to do something kids can do in seconds using only two hands. It blows up a ballon and then pops it. Aptly called the world’s largest Rube Goldberg machine. It seems that the current admin may be trying to out-due them.

With the Rube Goldberg competitors there a sense of marvel at their creativity, as well as humor about all “the bells and whistles.” I haven’t even heard of a hint of this about the “machine.” It’s definitely not, not like the Little Engine that said, “I think I can. I think I can.” It’s more like “I just can’t do it. I just can’t do it, but you’ll pay through the nose anyway!”
