Sorry I’m a bit late in posting the open thread today.
The Dixie Chicks: What’s the big deal about patriotism?
The Chicks are still flaming mad about the treatment they received from other country music stars after comments Maines made to a British audience in March 2003 in which she stated she was ashamed the president of the US was from Texas:
DNC Vice Chair: Zarqawi was murdered
Hear those comments from the mouth of Susan Turnbull, Vice Chair of the DNC, here. He wasn’t killed – he was murdered per her. The word “murder” leaves a distinctly different impression on the listener as would “kill” as it relates to the military – a distinction of which I’m sure Ms. Turnbull is well aware.
Larry Johnson is a jerk, part 2
Johnson, as you’ll recall, is the guy who wrote that it was no “small wonder” why Karl Rove’s mother killed herself, what with having Karl as a son and all.
