Democrats use photo of Canadian soldier on page devoted to our military and family

This is absolutely priceless.

They support the troops, but don’t know what they look like.

Blackfive has had the best response to this so far:

Seriously, though, how screwed up must you be to post about how much your party supports the troops, but not know who your troops are? ‘Embarassing’ hardly begins to describe this error.

Yep. I believe this has happened before, too – I’ll have to do some digging in my archives as I believe I’ve blogged about a case where Democrats (or Democrat supporters) ran an ad using soldiers that were not American.

Update I: Found it. It was a MoveOn.org ad that used images of British soldiers, not US soldiers.

Update II: The page using the image of the Canadian soldier has been changed.

Sidenote: I’m still curious about the banner on the DNC’s Military Vets and Families page. When was the last time you saw that many happy Democrats in one room?

Its due to all those years the left was stationed in Canada during the Vietnam War……! :d

Ah, but you always have to parse words carefully when dealing with the moonbat left (like what “is” means).

Here, they said they “support the troops”. But they didn’t say whose troops, did they?:-?

My thought would be when the Democrats ran that fake impeachment trial of President Bush.

Here, let me refresh some memories if people have forgotten:

FLASHBACK: In 2005, Rep. John Conyers (D-MI) Held Fake Impeachment Hearings Where He Was Addressed As “Mr. Chairman”:

“In The Capitol Basement … Long-Suffering House Democrats Took A Trip To The Land Of Make-Believe.” (Dana Milbank, “Democrats Play House To Rally Against The War,” The Washington Post, 6/17/05)
“Rep. John Conyers Jr. (D-Mich.) Banged A Large Wooden Gavel And Got The Other Lawmakers To Call Him ‘Mr. Chairman.’” (Dana Milbank, “Democrats Play House To Rally Against The War,” The Washington Post, 6/17/05)
“The Session Was A Mock Impeachment Inquiry Over The Iraq War. As Luck Would Have It, All Four Of The Witnesses Agreed That President Bush Lied To The Nation And Was Guilty Of High Crimes – And That A British Memo On ‘Fixed’ Intelligence That Surfaced Last Month Was The Smoking Gun Equivalent To The Watergate Tapes.” (Dana Milbank, “Democrats Play House To Rally Against The War,” The Washington Post, 6/17/05)

“They Pretended A Small Conference Room Was The Judiciary Committee Hearing Room, Draping White Linens Over Folding Tables To Make Them Look Like Witness Tables And Bringing In Cardboard Name Tags And Extra Flags To Make The Whole Thing Look Official.” (Dana Milbank, “Democrats Play House To Rally Against The War,” The Washington Post, 6/17/05)

I am sure they were all giggles and smiles down in that basement…..

It showed the bullet points in preview but posting it they disappeared and mashed together…

    6. LOL sanity – I had forgotten about that one!

Looks to me like a black Canadian, as well. Guess they couldn’t find a good enough picture of a black American soldier. And it’s been photoshopped, too? Yeesh!
