Harry Reid: “Coal makes us sick, oil makes us sick”

Posted by: Sister Toldjah on July 2, 2008 at 9:30 am

I’m a little late in linking up to this recent alarmist quote from Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, but better late than never:

HARRY REID: “the one thing we fail to talk about is those costs that you don’t see on the bottom line. That is coal makes us sick, oil makes us sick; it’s global warming. It’s ruining our country, it’s ruining our world. We’ve got to stop using fossil fuel.”

As the NRO Corner link notes, that was from an interview the Fox News Business channel did with Reid on Monday.

Here’s the vid.

The Politico’s Crypt blog reported that yesterday the video went viral and was the number one video on the “most viewed list” at YouTube.com.

Congrats, Senator – you can add this one to your growing collection of stupid quotes caught on tape.

    1. Does anyone know what Reid’s approval rating in Nevada is? Or do they measure it in terms of embarrassment? ;)

All I can say is, “You first, Harry, you lying, duplicitous, traitorous bag of wind, you first!”

From the Senator’s statements I infer that one of his enterprises is that of carriage-horse breeder.
