Obama’s stage Thursday night to resemble Greek Temple, possibly even the WH

**Update – 8/27 – 10:28 AM: I’ve got an updated post on this story here, which includes a photo of the “temple.”**

——

Reuters reports that Mr. Presumptuous will be kicking things up a notch on Thursday night at his speech at Invesco field. It ain’t just about the presidency any more, folks:

DENVER (Reuters) – Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama’s big speech on Thursday night will be delivered from an elaborate columned stage resembling a miniature Greek temple.

The stage, similar to structures used for rock concerts, has been set up at the 50-yard-line, the midpoint of Invesco Field, the stadium where the Denver Broncos’ National Football League team plays.

Some 80,000 supporters will see Obama appear from between plywood columns painted off-white, reminiscent of Washington’s Capitol building or even the White House, to accept the party’s nomination for president.

Will we get to look forward to another faux presidential seal, too? Will he come out dressed in a white toga a la Zeus and still manage not to break a sweat? Will he part the crowds just as he did the sea in an attempt to mingle with the unwashed masses?

The possiblities are endless! 8-|

    Such delusions of grandeur! :-w

A Greek temple, huh? Sorta ironic then since, if I read theweeklystandard.com correctly, Hercules (aka Kevin Sorbo) gave money to McCain.

Obama could always shoot for the Xena endorsement or something, though. =))

In all seriousness, however, this is really getting egostical on Obama’s part.

The hilarity continues!!! Check out the story the New York Post wrote about the three “assassins” that were caught in Denver.

TERRIFYING ECHOES OF DR. KING NOW HAUNT OUR HOPES

DENVER – We always knew it was a possibility from the day he announced he was chasing history and threw his hat into the ring. What black man ever led a movement without the threat of death?

In the early months of Obama’s campaign, even black people who said they loved the man argued they wouldn’t vote for him because they would be sending him to his death

Oh the drama!!!! Is this the same media that portrayed every terrorist plot disrupted in this country as a bunch of disgruntled screw ups?!?!?

Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) said we should be careful not to give these losers more attention than they deserve.

A sad day indeed when Maxine Waters is the voice of reason.

If Obama’s life is in danger it’s because he’s trotted the globe acting as the next coming of Christ.
