Sweetness and Light has an intriguing story from a couple of former co-workers for Obama who say that in his “Dreams From My Father” book that he, to put it charitably, embellished his pre-community organizer days resume (h/t: MM).
Will we see these claims investigated to the nth degree like the mediots are doing with Gov. Palin? I won’t hold my breath.  They’ve picked their candidate (long ago, in fact) and are out to destroy anyone who gets in his way.
Update: Director Blue has an excellent round-up of other issues the OMSM (Obama Mainstream Media) has given scant to no attention to regarding Obama’s rise to fame … and who helped him get there (via ST reader Fat Tone).
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: If John McCain had 1/10th of the radical, questionable ties that Barack Obama had, he’d have been shamed out of the presidential race long ago, well before the primaries started.

Well I don’t know about all of that, all I do know is we can stop caring, that political powerhouse of a thinker Lindsey Lohan has spoken, and we all should listen.
That’s it boyz and girlz, Lindsey has spoken we can pack it up. There is just no sense in even trying to run against and endorsement like that.

What the Flock of seagulls is this?!?!?!? Barry tried to stop our troops from withdrawing too soon??

Lorica, if you think like a leftist, it makes perfect sense. Screaming about rapid troop withdrawal is a transparently political act, designed to play on fears and fling mud at the Bush administration. If the troops came home tomorrow, it would be Obama’s worst nightmare for several reasons:
(1) It robs him of an issue. Obama can squawk about troop levels because he knows full well that principled people only want the troops to come home victorious, which is why the President isn’t going to do that rashly. If the troops come home now, McCain can point to the surge he championed as the turning point that led to a stable Iraq and contrast that to Obama’s craven eagerness to surrender.
(2) If he’s elected, Obama wants credit for ending the war. Remember, he’s all about embellishing his own image and resume. His favorite topic is himself…he makes Bill Clinton look modest and self-deprecating. If the troops are gone before he takes office, he would almost feel cheated.
(3) Never forget my First Law of Leftist Thought: Nothing is as important as POWER. If he has the power set a withdrawal timetable, he can use that as leverage over the Iraqi government, or over congressional appropriations, or other places where he wants to prove his political manhood. If troops’ lives are lost because they are left in Iraq longer than needed, it’s no big deal to the left, as long as they achieve power.
You and I, of course, have a different set of standards, which is why this angers us so. It’s more important to us that America achieve its goals than for us to achieve power.
