Rep. Sheila Jackson-Lee (D-TX): Former KKK’rs “lifted sheet” and are “now Tea Partiers”
Obviously, her “North and South Vietnam” remarks on the floor of the US House aren’t the only stupid things she’s said this week:
On Sunday afternoon Representative Sheila Jackson Lee (D-Texas) was part of the panel for a legislative workshop titled “Engaging Congress: the NAACP’s Legislative Agenda to Achieve One Nation, One Dream”. Representative Jackson-Lee spoke on the tea party movement and immigration reform among other issues:
Representative Sheila Jackson Lee: ….And I thank you professor very much. I’m going to be engaging you with those very powerful numbers that you have offered on what the tea party recognizes, uh, or is recognized as. Might I add my own P.S.? All those who wore sheets a long time ago have now lifted them off and started wearing [applause], uh, clothing, uh, with a name, say, I am part of the tea party. Don’t you be fooled. [voices: "That's right.", applause] Those who used to wear sheets are now being able to walk down the aisle and speak as a patriot because you will not speak loudly about the lack of integrity of this movement. Don’t let anybody tell you that those who spit on us as we were walking to vote on a health care bill for all of America or those who said Congresswoman Jackson-Lee’s braids were too tight in her hair had anything to do with justice and equality and empowerment of the American people. Don’t let them fool you on that [applause]….
Sigh. As Gateway Pundit reminds Lee and other nitwits, the KKK was a Democratic party group from way back (read more on the shameful racist history of the Democrat party here).
Not only that, but with regards to the alleged “spitting” incident that Lee mentioned, I betcha she didn’t know that the original accuser, Rep. Emanuel Cleaver (D-MO) is now conceding that the “spit” that came from the healthcare “reform” opponent who was speaking loudly to him might have been an “accident” (overactive salivary glands). Clearly it was, if you watch the video at that same link. But let’s not let the facts get in the way of a good old fashioned NAACP anti-Republicans/conservatives racial rant.
Like I said last night, it’s not about “truth” to Democrats anymore (not that it really ever was). Right now the sole purpose is to gain some momentum and to WIN in November – no matter how many bogus smears, lies, misrepresentations etc they have to repeat between now and that time. “By any means necessary” is the motto now and their “means” is to play the dirtiest card in the book: The race card.
And here I thought that, since the election of Barack Obama as President, we were living in “post-racial” America …

Shelia Jackson Lee is an EMBARASSMENT to those of us who live in Houston. She has accomplished very little for the “community that elects her”, yet they keep electing her. To this day she has failed to account for “who” paid for her infamous trip to LA, Cal to present Michael Jackson’s family with a congressional “whatever” that congress never even voted on. We are still waiting for her to explain how she expensed this.
LIkewise, she is very well known for her title as the “Funeral Lady” here in Houston. She will make her aids comb the obituaries and find someone “important” or “worthy” who has passed and will go and speak at their funeral. More so than not, family and friends of the deceased are furious that she attempts to do this.
She has no shame.
Shall we also not forget the woman who she had “ask questions” about the health care debate? The woman who lied and said she was a peditrician but was found out later to not only NOT be a doctor, but someone who helps with Democratic campaigns?
And last but not least, the infamous ask me a question during the health care debate townhall meeting and I will get on my cell phone and talk to someone else.
She is a worthless individual and horrible obviously not only for those in Houston, but Texas and the Nation!!! :-w

If they wouldn’t spend so much time sipping kool-aid while the slaves do their dirty work, and would stop calling the unicorns to be fed and watered, the jackasses MIGHT have enough time to look around and figure out a brand new non-solution to all the problems they’ve created with all their previous “solutions.”

One good thing about the Internet (aside from Netflix :) ) is that politicians who engage in jackassery almost inevitably get exposed. And they also learn to their shock that their constituents are paying attention and don’t like what they see. Well, maybe not in the case of Jackson-Lee’s district, but in some. And, if the polls are any indication, the numbers are growing.

The truth never matters to politicians. The Tea Party movement is about US, the overtaxed producers, wanting to reduce government spending. If I was in Congress and had no principles and loved my perks, I’d try to demonize these citizens too!
This is all about dividing people, not bringing them together. Silly me, I thought the NAACP wanted to do that at one point in time. Now I see it’s about demonizing anything they don’t want to understand…like personal responsibility and the rule of law.
I foresee this as a way they will justify any offensive anti-protests their minions will attempt during any tea party meetings or demonstrations in the future. They are building up ill will based on deceit.
On April 15 in Washington DC demonstrations they had a few college clowns with signs that read: Support Obama….what a hoot. They had young guys running around with silly signs that said things like: I have a sign. To mock us. What does the future hold when groups like the New Black Panthers say they want to kill cracker and their babies without any response from our leaders? And this blow bag woman is allowed to go off unchecked by the MSM….I will hold the MSM personally responsible if anything violent happens at the next tea party demonstrations!
It’s amazing how the administration that was so adamant about not making race part of the campaign has incorporated it so much into everything after the election. Why can’t these folks just figure out that people can have differing opinions without being racist.
