Underway: A “feminist” call for liberal women to … stop having sex with Republicans

Sorry, guys – but if you were lookin’ to hook up with a radical liberal woman this weekend, you might be SOL if they listen to this gal (via @JennQPublic):

Signing an e-petition, tweeting furiously, changing your Facebook profile picture to the “I Stand with Planned Parenthood” logo—will any of this impact the Republican push to defund Planned Parenthood? Probably not. There is, however, something we all have the power to do, in order to send a real message to members of the GOP: stop having sex with them.

[…]

In the case of a possible defunding of Planned Parenthood, a sex strike seems to me the most obvious and appropriate means of protest. There’s a direct correlation between what’s being threatened and what we individuals can do to assert our cause.

As we’ve been reminded numerous times in recent days, Planned Parenthood’s most common services are providing contraception and testing services for STDs and STIs. If Planned Parenthood were to shut down as a result of the GOP’s efforts, it will be more difficult to find reasonably priced and easily accessible reproductive care and, in turn, sex will become riskier for all.

So if it’s going to become more difficult to engage in healthy sexual activity as a result of a certain political party’s actions, isn’t it only fair that we stop sleeping with members of that political party?

Send Republicans a message. They can’t have their sex and restrict sexual health too.

I know.  A lot of y’all are soo heartbroken, right? ;))

Just curious: Does this call apply to liberal women having sex with conservative women as well? Does it apply to liberal men having sex with a conservative male or female, also?  Or is this just a blanket call …? Are we talking just the actual sex act or  does it include sexual activity regardless of whether or not you “go all the way”?  Why not stop having sex with liberals, too?  That’s one sure way not to get a disease or get pregnant.  Just sayin’. :D

I dare the Democrats to run on this in 2012

**Posted by Phineas

Since Rep. Paul Ryan released his 2012 budget plan, the Democrats have been on the attack, charging that Republicans want to deny medical care to children, starve the elderly and generally bring about the end of the world. You know, the usual reactionary rhetoric they use to avoid adult conversations on serious issues, because they have no ideas of their own.

Well, that will change next week, when the Congressional Progressive Caucus, aka “The Socialist Wing of the (Social) Democratic Party,” will release their own budget plan:

To extend the long-term solvency of Social Security, it would propose dramatically increasing payroll taxes on both the employer and employee side, and funneling the money into even more generous benefits.

Payroll taxes are economically destructive, because they make it more expensive for employers to hire new workers, meaning lower real wages and higher unemployment.

Yet the tax increases wouldn’t end there. The People’s Budget would rescind last year’s tax deal to raise rates on higher income levels, boost taxes on capital gains and dividends, increase the estate tax, institute three “millionaire tax rates,” with the highest reaching 47 percent, tax corporate foreign income, impose a “financial crisis responsibility fee,” and institute a “financial speculation tax.”

Overall, taxes would rise to 22.3 percent of the economy, compared with 18.3 percent under the Ryan proposal.

The plan would also build on Obama’s most notable initiatives. It includes an additional $1.45 trillion in economic stimulus spending. On health care, the plan would add a government-run plan, or “public option,” to Obamacare and have the government negotiate drug prices.

Yet while other parts of government would grow, the defense budget would be gutted. The proposal would “reduce baseline defense spending by reducing strategic capabilities, conventional forces, procurement, and R&D programs.”

I hope they do it, and I hope their party leadership adopts it. Then we’ll at last have an honest argument about the vision the two parties have for the future of America. Go ahead, Democrats, make this plan your own. Let 2012 be a battle between Paul Ryan’s “budget for mature adults who can see the edge of the cliff coming” and the CPC’s “Berkeley Bong Budget.”

I beg you: try to sell the nation another fairy tale.

And I’ll thank you in advance for the Republican landslide in 2012.

New Tone Watch: Rep. Slaughter (D-NY) says GOP frosh came to DC to “kill women”

CNS News reports on explosive comments made by Rep. Louise Slaughter (D-NY) Wednesday at a NOW/NARAL-sponsored “Stand Up for Women’s Health” rally in Washington, DC (via Memeorandum):

(CNSNews.com) – Rep. Louise Slaughter (D-N.Y.) said today that the new Republicans elected to the House of Representatives last November came to Congress “to kill women.” She also likened Republican efforts to prohibit federal funding of abortion except in cases of rape, incest or where the life of the mother is endangered to actions taken by Nazis.

“This is probably one of the worst times we’ve seen because the numbers of people elected to Congress. I went through this as co-chair of the arts caucus,” Slaughter said. “In ’94 people were elected simply to come here to kill the National Endowment for the Arts. Now they’re here to kill women.”

[…]

Slaughter took aim at H.R. 3, the “No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act,” a bill that would make permanent the Hyde Amendment restrictions on federal funding of abortion except in cases of rape or incest or a threat to the life of the mother, and that would also prohibit people from taking tax deductions for payments made for abortions except in those circumstances.

Although the text of the bill makes no reference to people needing a “receipt” to prove their abortion was for one of the excepted categories if they try to deduct the abortion fee they paid from their federal taxes, Slaughter suggested that under the bill, if enacted, people would need receipts for their abortions in such circumstances.

[…]

“You are allowed to have an abortion if you have been raped or it’s a matter of incest,” said Slaughter. “However, you have to keep a receipt. Did you know that? It’s sort of like an old German Nazi movie. Show me your papers!”

Watch the video below:

No doubt that between the death threats targeting Republican politicos that have repeatedly happened in Wisconsin over the controversial union bill and the overheated, hysterical rhetoric coming from staunch pro-aborts in Congress and elsewhere over the Planned Parenthood funding battle, President Obama will take to the podium ASAP to renew his calls for civility, just as soon as the words can be pre-programmed into the teleprompter.

And the national MSM will join shortly thereafter to reverse course on their virtual boycott of reporting on any violent rhetoric and threats that come from left wingers.

Oh, and I’m soon to be in line as the next Princess of Wales.  The whole Wills/Kate thing is a diversionary tactic.  Wills and I are quite close …
