La Socialista’s healthscare plan – the extended version

Outwageous! Via the CBS News Horserace blog (emphasis added):

One of the big questions surrounding Hillary Clinton’s universal health care plan has been the question of enforcement. That is: How will she mandate that all Americans pay for their health care?

On ABC’s “This Week” on Sunday, Clinton provided some clues to how she might do so. “We will have an enforcement mechanism, whether it’s [garnishing people’s wages] or it’s some other mechanism through the tax system or automatic enrollments” she said.

Clinton further noted that “there are a number of mechanisms” that could be used, including “going after people’s wages, automatic enrollment.”

As the Associated Press notes, “Clinton said such measures would apply only to workers who can afford health coverage but refuse to buy it, which puts undue pressure on hospitals and emergency rooms.”

No surprises here, all things considered.

As a side note: Isn’t it annoying at how the how the media is treating her statement? Rather than calling it for the Socialistic nonsense that it is, they are treating it as a viable option and comparing it to Obama’s plan. As if forcing people to pay should be considered acceptable. This is a sign of the times, I worry, and not in a good way. But I’m digressing.

Brian at Liberty Pundit is slams Hillary and other leftist elites on their double standards re: “choice”:

Isn’t it odd that liberals are the ones that constantly harp and moan about people having a “choice” about a wide range of issues? Abortion? To liberals, that’s a personal choice, and the government shouldn’t have a say in it. Gay marriage? Same thing. But health care? Oh, yeah Ò€¦ they’re all over that, choice be damned.

Make no mistake, folks, this is what liberals mean when they use the word “choice”. They don’t mean your choice, they mean theirs. The ultimate “do as I say” from the left because, after all, they know what’s best for you, don’t they?

They lead, now if only we would follow, right? @-)
